Amanda Woods has worked as a reporter for The New York Post since 2015. Today, she covers breaking crime and mayhem as well as larger-scale stories with law enforcement angles. She also has experience reporting on various  general assignment stories. A native of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Amanda completed her undergraduate English degree at the University at Buffalo in 2011 and obtained her master's degree from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (CUNY) in 2012 with a concentration in urban reporting. Prior to joining The Post, she worked in community news, most recently at The Tribeca Trib. In her free time, she enjoys singing, nature photography and saying "Hi!" to every dog in the neighborhood.
