About Me!
- Online Name: Xenia, after the Linux fox mascot
- Pronouns: She/Her || They/Them
- bisexual
- Ambiguously Transfem*
- cloud native specialist
- linux enthusiast
- awful programmer
Welcome to my funny little corner of the internet, thanks for being here!
I would describe myself professionally as a Cloud Native Engineer since I kinda specialise in Kubernetes and other Cloud Native technologies, though
I'm also in the sysadmin space. Professionally, I make Kubernetes clusters go brrrrr.
Otherwise, I'm your typical IT transfem. I run Arch linux on main, with OpenSUSE laptops and servers. I enjoy learning Rust though I'm not really good at it yet. I fit a lot of the stereotypes ^w^
My main "thing" is self-hosting. I'm slowly working on adding more and more projects onto the small Kubernetes cluster I run in a rack at home. My
friends probably associate me with hosting Minecraft servers but I also host websites including this one and some useful apps for personal use and to detach from tech conglomerates and their monopolies on internet services.
I'm not much of a programmer, though I would consider myself decent at Python and Laravel/PHP, and in the learning phase of Rust. My prefered
subdomains are cloud (k8s) and Linux though I'm equally interested in cybersecurity and hacktivism.
Outside of tech, I like cycling and walking around exploring places. I should also add that I don't live in an LGBTQ+ tolerant country, which is why I keep this website separate from my irl identity. Consider this the "authentic me" hehe :3
Projects
There's not much for me to showcase, but I'll work on a self-hosted GitLab instance so I can keep my lives separate.
- My Kubernetes cluster
- A cloud service
- A lot of homelabbing I guess
- S3 backup utility in Rust
