I am currently affiliated as postdoctoral fellow at Norwegian university for science and technology NTNU funded by European research consortium (ERCIM). I am also working as a researcher at the Intervention center at Oslo university hospital OUS. I have worked as an assistant lecturer at the Alexandria institute of technology (AIT) from 2000-2009, and as an assistant professor at the Arab academy for science, technology, and maritime transport (AASTMT) from 2010 to 2017 in Alexandria, Egypt. I was also affiliated as a visiting professor at both university center in Kjeller (UNIK) 2012 and Westerdals Oslo ACT in 2018 in Oslo, Norway.
I got my Ph.D in electrical engineering and electro physics from the faculty of engineering, Alexandria university, Egypt in 2010.
My research addressed wireless communication systems and was mostly working on the MAC layer using signal processing including signal detection and estimation, cooperative and cognitive transmission/receiving, channel estimation and noise cancellation. I have also worked on image processing and addressed watermarking, stenography, change and motion detection. My current research work addresses machine learning with a special focus on algorithms learning and modelling in real-time for different types of data.
I Have published a number of scientific papers and articles in international conferences and journals. I have received the young scientists award from the union radio scientific international (URSI) in 2011. I have served as a reviewer, TPC, track chair, and as member of editorial board for a number of International journals and conferences including Radio science journal, Personal wireless communications, IEEE communication letters, optics letters, and IEEE vehicular technology conference VTC.

This paper develops and analyzes a new class of detect-and-forward cooperative diversity protocol... more This paper develops and analyzes a new class of detect-and-forward cooperative diversity protocols adopting complete complementary code sets spreading. The proposed protocol employs a multi-band DS-CDMA transmission tailored to their distinct correlation properties. The complete complementary codes sets have an impulsive autocorrelation sum among each set and orthogonality between respective codes in different sets. The new protocol is shown to be advantageous due to the efficient assignment of the spreading codes through the transmission bands, receiver simplicity, and being applicable to several wireless CDMA systems. The protocol is compared to non-cooperative multi-band DS-CDMA system and illustrates enhanced performance under the effect of AWGN and a single path quasi-static frequency non-selective Rayleigh fading channel. 1.

This paper presents an analysis on the performance of decodeand-forward cooperation transmissions... more This paper presents an analysis on the performance of decodeand-forward cooperation transmissions in Rician fading channels. The users send the signals using multiband DS-CDMA transmission; the particular complete complementary code sets are used as spreading sets and to provide orthogonality and signal separation. These codes sets have an impulsive autocorrelation sum among each set and orthogonality along the set size. Under the constraint of halfduplex transmission, the performance of the proposed model is compared to the closed-form theoretical performance under similar transmission conditions and applying the suboptimum maximal ratio combiner model at the receiver stage. Then the proposed model is evaluated against a non-cooperative transmission framework using the same spreading sets over Rician fading channels with different K factors. The performance of the cooperative model is shown to be on the verge of the theoretical performance curves in terms of the probability of error. It also manifests an enhanced performance compared to the non-cooperative algorithm under different channel assumptions.
