Hsien-Ming Lin
I am an Assistant Professor working at the Center of Teacher Education, National Pingtung University, Taiwan. I received my PhD degrees in Social and Cultural Anthropology from KU Leuven, Belgium, and in Social Science from National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan in 2020. My currently research topics focus on Educational Administration, Politics of Education, Higher Education and International Education, International Mobility and Migration Studies, Political Economy and East Asia Studies.

與城市治理等多重面向。除了實際應用大數據於相關實用領域外，大數據業已逐漸開始影響社會科學領域的傳統社會科學研究方法及概念。因此，本文從研究者投身社會科學領域研究的經驗出發。希冀能梳理出大數據對社會科學研究可能帶來的影響與挑戰。
本文研究認為，大數據應用於社會科學研究至少帶來三個層次意涵的轉
變：（一）樣本的意涵、（二）統計的意涵以及（三）研究目的意涵。研究者期待能透過本文的研究與探討，讓更多社會科學研究者，能瞭解在大數據的時代下自身所處的位置，以避免淹沒在巨量資料與大數據的洪流中。
