Quality Improvement

Quality improvement begins with a mandate for high quality care.

Because we assume a client-centred approach, those receiving our services are always treated with dignity and respect – ensuring that every person who walks through our doors not only reaches the right door, but feels valued and supported on their recovery journey.

Assuming an equity-driven approach ensures that we understand the needs of the populations we serve, and that we understand the needs of the community as they arise. We intend to provide high quality care to those experiencing mental illness, specifically serving Indigenous communities, those in need of low-barrier or supportive housing, those needing through our programming and service partnerships.

Incorporating a social determinants of health perspective enables us to approach care as holistic, as socioculturally relevant (as not every culture or community group regards mental illness as located in the mind or brain), and systemically regards health equity as a priority. The inequities our clients face intersect with housing instability, poverty, stigma, and systemic barriers to education, employment, and healthcare.

Emphasizing accessible and timely care means ensuring we provide the right services to support people at the right time, and if we cannot, we draw on service partnerships and other community services to do so.
