Since 2002, NLM Traveling Exhibitions have engaged over 8 million people with the vibrant history of medicine. By bringing impactful stories and themes to local venues, these exhibits enrich communities, foster health literacy, and make medical history widely accessible and engaging.
This International Open Access Week, NLM shares its commitment to digital accessibility of and equitable access to PubMed Central’s (PMC) 10+ million biomedical articles. For one, NLM is collaborating with people who use assistive technologies to refine article displays—just one of the many recent updates to PMC.
ClinVar is a public archive that supports the clinical genetics community and cancer research. NLM recently updated ClinVar to improve somatic variant submissions, which can lead to better diagnostics and tailored therapies for cancer patients.
