# Theme Update

By updating the theme, **you will not lose any changes and customizations** that you have made to your site, unless you modified the theme files, without using a *child theme*.

## Auto-Update

Our themes bundled with a powerful **Theme Dashboard**. You can easily activate the theme license and use automatic updates. So, we recommend this way to update themes.

If you see the error “Download link could not be retrieved”, please, try to deactivate and activate the theme in the Theme Dashboard. If this will not help, create a ticket [https://nk.ticksy.com](https://nk.ticksy.com/).

## Install as New Theme

In case if you downloaded theme using this artcle, you can install it manually:

If you can access your FTP host, you can update the theme by simply replacing all files in **wp-content/themes/theme\_name**

But if you want to make it from administration panel, follow this steps:

1. In your WordPress dashboard go to **Appearance > Themes**
2. Click on **Add New** button and then on **Upload Theme** button on the top of the screen
3. Install your newly downloaded theme
