This journal is "Friends Only" and for me the word "Friend" has a very special meaning. I write here about really personal stuff and I trust all my friends here to respect my trust in them.
All my stories and icons are always public, so if you are here only to read or just looking for some graphics you can friend me, but I will add you back only if you let me know that you want me to do it. Unless you comment, you won't be added back. Adding random strangers isn't my thing. Please mention how you got here, and why you'd like to be added. It can take a while until I friend you back because I add only people I think can be trusted so I don't have to remove anyone in the future. No one is ever expected to comment in my LJ in order to stay on my Friends list.

I’m taking part in a commenting challenge at Tumblr (Summer Fic Reading Bingo) and I decided that I will be posting it here too. Maybe someone will like some of my recs and enjoy them as much as I did.

So, the first one is something I have never expected I will ever like – modern AU ATLA.
This story is really well written and there are so many little things that are just canon that I had so much fun spotting them there. Like comic books about Piandao or Aang’s car.
And of course I can’t not mention Zuko shipping fictional characters :)

Day 9

Today I spent doing nothing (reading, writing, riding my stationary bike while crocheting, oh and I played Mahjong for a while (while listening to a podfic)).

The weather is good – still no snow! Yay!

Day 8

Today I’m doing nothing. My two weeks winter break at school is almost over, so I’m especially doing nothing to enjoy it even more :)

Here is the new shawl I’m making right now. Very simple and very easy to do. I don’t even need to think, and I listen to podfics while I’m crocheting. It’s more greenish, than in the picture.

Day 5?

I forgot to post an entry yesterday. Well, my perfectionism suffered, but I survived :)

I’m writing five stories at the same time and I have a lot of fun with them because they are related to each other. I think in all fandoms my favorite genre is hurt/comfort.
I love reading it and writing.
And fluff.

I think my favorite character In ATLA is Zuko :)

I’ve finished another triangle crochet shawl. It’s beautiful. I will make some photos tomorrow, because right now it’s already 10PM here.

Well, nobody expects the spanish inquisition

Today was my first day of working in normal reality, where I could actually be with the people I was talking to and talking with and it was such relief for my mental health that I didn’t even expect I missed it sooo much.

I just want to state here, that working/teaching online was horrible and I would like to never have to do it again this way. Just saying :)

July Update

A lot is happening recently in my life, but I’m trying to rest and enjoy the summer break. After this two and a half full time jobs year it’s not easy to actually rest, because I’ve already forgotten how to do it, but I’ve found things not related to work I can enjoy, so I’m sticking to them.

Cooking – yesterday my Mother for the first time asked me to prepare dinner for her too:) And she even liked the soup! I feel accomplished!

I’m growing sprouts and I also enjoy it very much. Mostly radish and sunflower seeds, because I like how they taste. I’ve tried other kinds but I didn’t like them.
For me – and I’m a physicist – they are a total mystery. I think I will never get how they work, I think sprouts are proof that God exists :)

I’ve discovered a TV show like none other I have ever watched. It’s called The Chosen and I’ve spent the last two weeks watching the show and the behind the scenes extras (They are always interesting for me, because I always wanted to work as a member of movie making crew. I never wanted to be an actress, but I always wanted to know how they are making movies since I watched the Jurassic Park ‘making of’).
And I have to say that I really like what they are doing with this show: amazing job with the background stories for the characters of the Bible. The casting is also well done. I’ve only known one of the actors from previous appearances – the actor who plays Nicodemus, because he was part of Stargate/Stargate SG-1 team – but they made great choices for my favorite people from the Bible :)
If you were interested, the show is free on YouTube and in an app for Android and IOS. It’s called The Chosen.

I’m also spending a lot of time with my nice when I’m taking care of her at her parents’ apartment (my brother is working from home and my SIL is driving my father to various doctor appointments). I learn a lot from this little girl who is discovering the world for the first time :)
