National Research Data Infrastructure for and with Computer Science (NFDI×CS)

NFDI×CS promotes the implementation of the FAIR Data Principles for computer science (CS) research data and software artifacts.
Therefore, NFDI×CS will establish an organizational, technical, collaborative, and interoperable infrastructure to join the available forces of relevant services and actors from and for computer science.

Objectives

  • Promoting the implementation of FAIR Data Principles for informatics research data and software artifacts

  • Simplifying the citation of software and computer science data

  • Modernizing the publication processes and culture of computer science and its applications

  • Supporting the application of computer science methods in collaboration with other scientific disciplines

  • Sharing experiences and knowledge of the informatics community on system architectures, processes and standards

Measures

  • Identification, definition and deployment of services for storing complex domain-specific data objects across the breadth of computer science disciplines

  • Encapsulating interconnected research
artefacts within the Research Data Management Container (RDMC)
