How Do I Find Who My Signing Officials Are at My Institution?

If you already have an eRA Commons account, you can find the list of signing officials for your institution in the Institution Profile. You may need an SO for various reasons — to submit an application or a request for additional materials or a Just-in-Time material, and more.

New Prior Approval Capability Joins Suite of Options in eRA Commons

A new type of prior approval is available to NIH recipients in eRA Commons as of October 12, joining a menu of other prior approval requests. Recipients of NIH awards are now required to use the ‘Other Request’ type in Prior Approval to submit any changes to their approved Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMS Plans) to NIH officials.

Helping You Comply with the Data Management and Sharing Policy Through eRA System Validations

Our eRA Systems (e.g., ASSIST, eRA Commons) perform several business rule validations to support our Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy implementation. The validations ensure the DMS Plan, associated budget line item, and budget justification are included when the DMS Policy applies and are not included when it doesn’t.

New Overview Video for Status Screens for SOs and PIs
