Computers

Computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office are available for the public to use. 

Log in with your NP Library Card barcode number or pick up a guest pass.

We offer 4 desktop public computers:

• Internet plus Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
• There is a 60-minute limit on sessions. (Ask front desk to extend time if no one is waiting.)
• Sound must be turned off, or use headphones. (Bring your own, or purchase for $3 at front desk.)
• Save your work often. (We recommend saving to a USB drive.)
• Privacy software clears memory after each session. Lost work cannot be retrieved.
• One person per computer; no accompanying children can be accommodated.
• Children under 10 are not permitted at computers.
• Computers automatically shut down 10 minutes prior to library closing. 
• You may send print jobs to the public printer. (Confirm price; Pay at front desk. $0.25/pg BW; $0.50/pg Color)

We offer 3 laptops that can be checked out for in-library use:

• Internet via wifi, plus Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Zoom installed for video conferencing. (Please use one of our WorkPods to take a video conference.)
• Sound must be turned off, or use headphones. (Bring your own, or purchase for $3 at front desk.)
• Must have a valid NP Library Card to check out a laptop for inside-library use only.
• You may send print jobs from the laptops to the public printer using Mobile Printing.
• Must return laptop to front desk prior to leaving the library.

Free scanner available:

• Scans one page at a time.
• Must use public PC #2 to use scanner.
