Neha Chaudhari

Software AI Engineer, Full-Stack, APIs, Operations Automation

Most days I'm heads-down on Mitig8it, an AI security collaborator for GitHub pull requests, currently in beta. Before all that, 6 years running systems for a high traffic e-commerce platform, where I learned that retry logic and graceful failure aren't features; they're the product.

    Community operations platform

    Women Applying AI

    WAAI · Boston, MA

Co-leading backend and data architecture for WAAI's community operations platform, moving Airtable and Google Sheets workflows toward a cloud database-backed system. I define validation rules, observability guidance, and migration runbooks so recurring imports are repeatable, data quality issues are easier to catch, and mixed-skill contributors have a clearer path from community workflow to production-ready backend model.

    Mitig8it

    AI-Assisted Code Analysis Platform

Building a Python/FastAPI security review platform for GitHub pull requests. I designed a fast multi-stage analysis pipeline and own the product end to end, from backend services and GitHub App flows to the dashboard and Cloud Run deployment. The earlier prototype, Code Sentry, took second place at Clark's Technology Product Innovation Challenge before becoming Mitig8it.

Spent a semester running office hours and debugging sessions for 30+ students in Systems and Programming Languages. A lot of the work was less about the syllabus and more about getting code to actually run; most students were on macOS or Linux and the coursework was .NET, so I set up and maintained virtual development environments so they could stop fighting their machines and start learning the material.

    High traffic e-commerce platform

    Backend, Integrations, Applied AI

    Software Engineer

    Thingbits Electronics · Mumbai

6 years of customer-facing backend work on a high traffic Spree Commerce platform. I joined when the team was small and ended up owning a wide surface area: Spree extensions and API-driven features shipped straight into production, the Razorpay and PayPal integrations that anchored payment reliability, and an internal API platform plus a Zoho Books mapping that finally gave the business one source of truth across orders, customers, and operations.

Later I rebuilt the support layer as an agentic AI assistant on OpenAI, with tool-calling over Postgres, pgVector semantic search, and live carrier tracking; manual review effort dropped by ~60%. Underneath all of it, a lot of unglamorous platform work: PostgreSQL query and index tuning plus Typesense and Algolia search that cut latency by ~40%, Ahoy and Blazer for traffic visibility, and a more resilient base on Docker, AWS, and Cloudflare.

    Master's Degree

    MS, Computer Science

    Clark University · Worcester, MA

Came back to school after 6 years of backend work to deepen my CS fundamentals and dig into the AI side of systems. Coursework spanned Advanced Software Engineering, Algorithms, and Developing LLM-Based AI Assistants, and the last one nudged my capstone toward what it eventually became.

That capstone shipped as Mitig8it, originally prototyped as Code Sentry, which took second place at the Clark University Technology Product Innovation Challenge for reducing false positives and streamlining developer workflows. I also TA'd Systems and Programming Languages in spring 2025 under Prof. Hassan Musafer.
