They have a VERY competitive PhD program.<br \/><br \/>3rd - University of Tennessee - Knoxville. HELLO!!!! BODY FARM!!!!!<br \/><br \/>4th - Boston University School of Medicine. This would be higher on my list, BUT since it's a private college, the tuition is CRAZY and the grad students get zero funding other than what they can drum on their own... also, the cost of living there is really high.<br \/><br \/>5th - Mercy Hurst in Erie, PA. Again, a private college, but they have funding for grad students and a great forensic program. Both of the f. anth professors are board certified... there have only been 90 board certified forensic anthropologists ever.<br \/><br \/>6th - UNC - Charlotte. This is my fallback school. This amendment would grant fertilized eggs and fetuses personhood status.<br \/><br \/>Putting aside the contentious issue of abortion, this would effectively outlaw birth control and criminalize women who have miscarriages. This is not a good thing. <br \/><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jacksonwomenshealth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jackson Women's Health Organization<\/a> is the only place women can get abortions in the <i>entire<\/i> state, and they are trying to launch a grassroots movement against this amendment. It even has Mississippi Democrats, including the Attorney General, Jim Hood, backing it.<br \/><br \/>The reason I'm posting this here is because I made a meager donation to the Jackson Women's Health Organization this morning, and I received a personal email back hours later - on a Sunday - thanking me and noting that I'm one of the first \"outside\" people to contribute.<br \/><br \/>So if you sometimes pass on political action because you figure that enough other people will do something to make a difference, make an exception on this one.
