The plugin connects to the MyPost2 API service to deliver its main features.

What the service is used for:

  • Domain authentication and verification
  • Dart balance management and transactions

  • Aggregated analytics data processing

What data is sent and when:

  • Domain name and email address during plugin activation and authentication

A free MyPost2 account is required and is created automatically during plugin setup after acceptance of the terms.

Installasjon

Automatic Installation:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New
  3. Search for «MyPost2»
  4. Click «Install Now» then «Activate»
  5. Go to MyPost2 > Setup to connect your account

Manual Installation:

  1. Upload the unzipped mypost2 folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu
  3. Go to MyPost2 > Setup to connect your account

First-Time Setup:

  1. Navigate to MyPost2 > Setup
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for verification
  4. Complete verification to activate your domain
  5. Enjoy your 10 free included Darts on activation of a new account
  6. Purchase additional darts when needed (linked from dashboard)
  7. Start adding posts to your repost pool!
  8. Create reposts and boost them on the Fediverse if you wish to do so.

Do I need to pay to use this plugin?

The plugin is free to install and use. However, creating reposts requires «darts» (pay-per-use credits). Basic features like adding posts to your pool and viewing analytics work without payment. New accounts receive 10 free darts for testing purposes.

What are darts?

Darts are pay-per-use credits. Creating a repost (either on your domain or as a shortlink) costs 2 darts. Adding a Fediverse social boost costs an additional 1 dart. How does the 21-day rule work?

The 21-day maturation period ensures your original content gains traction and authority before being republished, preventing audience fatigue. You can track each repost’s progress and receive notifications when content becomes eligible for republication. This eliminates the guesswork of «What have I reposted before? When? What performed well?» Customize the global maturation timeline in the plugin settings.

Will this harm my SEO?

MyPost2 includes comprehensive SEO protection:

  • Canonical URLs point to original content
  • Noindex tags on reposts
  • Sitemap and RSS exclusions
  • WordPress features exclusion (navigation, related posts, etc…)
  • Search engine blocking
    This ensures search engines recognize the original as the primary source.

Can I use my own domain for reposts?

Yes! By default, reposts are created on your WordPress site. You can optionally use MyPost.to shortlinks instead or in addition.

Can I repost content from ACF fields?

No, this plugin does not support content stored in Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or other custom field structures.

Reposts can only be created from standard WordPress content types:
– Posts (all post types including blog posts)
– Pages
– Public custom post types (as long as they’re publicly queryable)

The plugin extracts content from the main post editor (the_content) and standard post data (title, excerpt, featured image). Content managed exclusively through ACF fields, metaboxes, or custom database tables will not be included in reposts.

If you need to repost ACF-based content, consider:
1. Moving the content to the main WordPress editor
2. Using a custom function to copy ACF data to the post content
3. Exploring alternative reposting solutions that support custom fields

What is Fediverse integration?

The Fediverse is a network of decentralized social platforms (Mastodon, Bluesky, Flipboard Social). MyPost2 can automatically share your reposts to its own MyPost2 social accounts with custom hashtags.

Is my data private?

Can I get a refund on unused darts?

Darts don’t expire and can be used anytime. We don’t offer refunds on dart purchases, but you can always use them for future reposts.

Do I need technical knowledge?

No! MyPost2 is designed for non-technical users. The interface is intuitive, and setup takes just a few minutes.

What happens if I deactivate the plugin?

Your reposts remain on your site as regular WordPress posts. However, you’ll lose access to MyPost2’s SEO protection and analytics features.

What happens when I delete the plugin?

IMPORTANT: Deleting (not just deactivating) MyPost2 will permanently remove:
– All reposts and their analytics data
– All shortlinks and tracking data
– All billing transaction history
– All plugin settings

This action CANNOT be undone. If you only want to temporarily disable the plugin, use «Deactivate» instead of «Delete».

Your SaaS account at Dashboard.MyPost.to will remain active and can be used with other WordPress sites.
