If the Internet were a busy town, myNoise would be its quiet, peaceful park. People come here to sit and relax. Unlike a city park though, there is no public funding. This unique space relies entirely on the support of people like you.
By contributing, you’ll unlock lifetime all-access membership, enhancing your experience while helping to keep this resource thriving for everyone.
Support myNoise, and I'll keep delivering the relaxing, high-quality experience you love! Unlike many services that require subscriptions, myNoise gives you flexibility. Whether you choose a one-time donation or a monthly contribution, you’ll receive lifetime privileged access* to the website.
Monthly donations provide stability, helping me plan ahead and continue improving myNoise. But don’t worry—there’s no pressure. You can cancel anytime and still enjoy your lifetime access. Your support makes a big difference in keeping this space flourishing for everyone!
Lifetime privileges include:
*Lifetime privileged access is granted to the website only. Mobile apps are managed independently and do not make part of the website membership.
Hello! I'm Stéphane Pigeon, the creator and sole person behind myNoise. From recording the sounds and creating the soundscapes to coding the audio engine and maintaining the website, I handle every part of this project. My goal is to bring you a high-quality sound experience that helps improve your life.
When I started myNoise, I made a promise to myself: keep it free, keep it ad-free, and never compromise on quality. Many have suggested I charge for the site, but I've always believed in keeping it accessible to everyone who needs it. That's why I chose a donation model, and I'm proud to say that tens of thousands of supporters worldwide have joined together to make this vision sustainable.
Here's how it works: I keep myNoise free for everyone. In exchange, users who find value in it choose to support the project voluntarily. A contribution of just $5, for example, covers the cost of serving one daily user for a year. If myNoise has become part of your daily routine—helping you focus, sleep, relax, or find calm in a noisy world—I invite you to join the community of patrons making this possible. Your contribution, whether one-time or recurring, keeps this resource available for everyone and is rewarded with lifetime bonuses—and, of course, my sincere gratitude.
Running a website like myNoise comes with significant expenses. Here’s a look at the main costs:
Altogether, the annual operating costs for myNoise come to $75,000, or about $6,000 per month.
When donations surpass this baseline, I can reinvest in additional activities that enhance the experience for users. For example, I love planning sampling trips abroad once or twice a year to gather new, unique sounds. Extra funds also enable the purchase of new equipment, which might not be critical to day-to-day operations but significantly enhances the variety and quality of sounds available on the website.
Take drop cache recordings as an example—leaving sensitive recording equipment outdoors in varied weather conditions is a risky venture. I wouldn’t take that risk if I could only afford one set of gear. However, with financial flexibility, I can afford to pursue unique recording opportunities that push the boundaries of what myNoise offers.
When support exceeds the essential needs of the project, I can invest in better tools and technology, ensuring that I deliver an even higher-quality experience for users. I’m a perfectionist, and having the right tools enhances both my work and the results.
Lastly, I’m proud to give back by supporting charitable causes each year. For instance, I fund tree-planting initiatives to help preserve the natural habitats from which many of my sound recordings originate. myNoise plants 6,000 trees per year with Gaine de Vie at a cost of $1,750. Beyond environmental efforts, I also contribute to causes that support people in need, hoping that my project can make a positive difference not just through sound, but in other meaningful ways as well.
