What is mx.works?
An independent product studio focused on useful apps that make life easier. We design, build, and own our own products. No clients, no services, just apps we believe in.
What kind of products do you build?
AI-native tools, productivity apps, and automation systems. We focus on problems we understand deeply and products that can compound over time.
What makes your apps different?
Simplicity and craft. No feature bloat, no dark patterns, no subscription traps. Just tools that do one thing well and get out of your way.
Do you build web or mobile apps?
Both. We build whatever fits the problem best. Web apps, mobile apps, sometimes both. The platform follows the product, not the other way around.
What tech do you use?
OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini models for AI. React and Rails for apps. n8n and custom pipelines for automation. Figma for design. We pick whatever fits the problem, not the other way around.
How fast do you ship?
Fast. Most products go from idea to live in weeks, not months. Small team, zero overhead, and AI in every part of the process. That adds up.
How do you decide what to build?
We look for real problems where AI can make a meaningful difference. If we can build something useful, validate it quickly, and see a path to long-term value, we go for it.
Do you collaborate with anyone?
We're focused on building and running our own high-impact products. Once in a while, an idea shows up that genuinely overlaps with what we're already exploring, and those end up being the most interesting conversations. No formal process for it, though.
