such a lot of world to see
Oh, I forgot to mention Jane the Virgin in my post yesterday, but I thought it was a good episode - I just enjoy the show so much but sometimes I don't have anything to really say about it.
I got a late start on watching The Flash because L and I went to dinner, since she was away thus hadn't been around since my dad died, and I think it was good to watch it without commercials. SUPER FRIENDS. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I wasn't even done watching it when Alyssa texted me all "WHERE CAN I GET THE SONGS?"
Iris, I mean, Millie has two musical gangster dads! I don't love that song, but I thought Martin, Garber and Barrowman knocked it out of the park! And I LOVED LOVED LOVED "Put a Little Love in Your Heart." I mean, enough that I was late to work this morning so I could fire up iTunes and purchase it (and "Moon River" - how great was Kara recognizing Barry on 'my huckleberry friend'? - and "Super Friend"). WHEN WILL WINN AND CISCO FINALLY MEET?
For a musical episode, I was sad there weren't more songs, and that neither Wells nor Wally got to sing, since they both do (Cavanagh and Lonsdale, I mean), but I did love what we got musically. And also Barry and Kara's love of musicals - the Wizard of Oz jokes were great, I thought. Just the right kind of corny to work, and both Benoist and Gustin are so adorably charming they sold it. And then the DANCING. MORE TAP DANCING BARRY PLEASE.
Message/plot-wise... I have no strong feelings either way about Barry/Iris (other than that Iris deserves more/better than the show has ever given her) but having Kara forgive Mon-El was a really sour note imo. They have such a great opportunity to show him having grown and attempting to atone by going back to Daxam to lead and reform his people, but instead he's going to hang around and warp the show and meh. DNW.
Now if only Music Meister could visit Star City and get Oliver and Felicity back together. ;p
