First SD training with vr and motion

multiSIM, together with JFJ Aviation & Defence GmbH from Austria, developed a highly versatile and cost-effective solution for Spatial Disorientation training for pilots.

Virtual and mixed reality solutions are ideal for Spatial Disorientation training because of the high immersiveness of VR headsets in combination with the D-World render engine. Flying in clouds, landing in a dense brownout, or mitigating the negative effects of night vision can all be demonstrated realistically on the new platform. The traditional hexapod system simulates typical aircraft and helicopter motions realistically, and the unlimited turntable installed by JFJ GmbH on top of the hexapod provides perfect demonstrations of the somatogyral and coriolis effects. It is a modernized solution to fulfill the STANAG 3114 training requirement AND a lot more!

multiSIM’s simulation solutions are all compatible with the new motion system. Flying a PC-7 or Apache helicopter on the motion system with full turn capability is extremely compelling and enables cost-efficient training of high-dynamic maneuvers (failures, stalls, evasive maneuvering, etc.).
