After the Azerbaijan Turks, Turkmens are the most populous people of Iran. The most recent expeditions to Iran have been conducted by Doerfer and his team (in the years 1969 and 1973) though the researches on Turkmen language are still incomplete.

Özet: 1968-1976 yılları arasında Göttingen’den yapılan
araştırma gezileri sonucunda İran’daki dil incelemeleri
üzerine daha önce tespit edilen eski verilerin birçok yanlış
bilgi içerdiği anlaşılmış ve yeni bilgilere ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan
bu araştırma gezilerinin en önemli sonucu, Horasan’da
konuşulan Türkçenin daha önce bilinmeyen ağızlarının
keşfedilmesi olmuştur. Örneğin, önceden Kuzey Horasanda
konuşulan ağızlar Türkologlarca Türkmence olarak
adlandırılmıştı, fakat bunun Horasan Türkçesinden başka bir
ağız olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
Kuzey Horasan’da konuşulan, İranca unsurlarla karışmış
olan Türk Lehçeleri Türkmence değil, Horasan Türkçesi veya
Doğu Oğuzcanın lehçeleridir. Bu dilin tarihî bir Horasan
Türkçesinin varlığına işaret ettiği bizi düşündürmektedir.
Horasan Türkçesinin ağızları şimdiye dek şimdiki zaman
ekleri, bildirme ekleri ve istek kipi özellikleri esasında
incelenerek sınıflandırılmış ve bunların ağız özellikleri
belirlenmiştir. Bu özellikler esasında altı lehçe ayırt edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada biz Langar ağzının Horasan Türkçesinin
sınıflandırılmasında yerini belirlemeğe çalıştık.
Langar ağzı Doğu Türkçesinin etkisini oldukça fazla
hissettirmekte, aynı zamanda Oğuzca özellikleri de
taşımaktadır. Langar ağzı, bu yönü ile Horasan’da konuşulan
tarihî bir Horasan Türkçesinin uzantısı olmalıdır.

Abstract: Through the conclusion of research excursions
from Göttingen in 1968-1976, it turned out that the former
knowledge about linguistical studies had involved so many
mistakes and it was accessed new knowledge. The most
significant outcome of the excursion was the discovery of
unknown dialects of the Turkic language spoken in Khorasan.
For instance, the dialects spoken in Northern Khorasan used
to be identified as “Turkman” by some Turkologists, but
through the excursion it was recognized that it was nothing
else but Khorasan Turkic. The Turkic dialects spoken in
Northern Khorasan which are mixed with Iranian elements are
not Turkman, but Khorasan Turkic or the dialects of Eastern
Oghuz. This fact makes us think over the existence of an Old
Khorasan Turkic. Khorasan Turkic dialects, so far, have been
classified by an analysis based on the present continious tense,
copulas and subjunction. By the classification, six languages
have been distinguished: 1) Northwest = Bocnurd etc., 2)
North = Quçan etc., 3) Northeast = Gucgi etc., 4) South =
Soltanabad etc., 5) Southeast = Xarw-e Olya etc., and 6)
Langar. In this paper, we strive to define the place of Langar
dialect in the classification of Khorasan Turkic. The Langar
dialect indicates the influence of Eastern Turkic, i.e. Uzbek,
so much and contains Oghuz characteristics. In this way,
Langar dialect must be a remnant of Old Khorasan Turkic.

In the Dädä Qorqut Book, the verbal adjective {-An+dA} construction was
read as a gerund. However, in some cases this does not reflect the context of the
text. In fact, this adjective verb or participle is not associated with the particle dA.
The article improves the topic {-An+Da}, {-Ar+Da}, {-Duq+Da}. The structures accepted
as gerunds were discussed in various editions of Dädä Qorqut. Repair suggestions
were made there, where as a participle construction should be considered.

Destani özelliklerini yitirmiş, masallaşmış destanlar diye nitelendirilen ve tür olarak halk şairlerinin etrafında teşekkül ettiğini kabul ettiğimiz ve kahramanlarının büyük ihtimalle yaşamış olduğunu tahmin ettiğimiz halk hikayelerinin kahramanları şunlardır: Aşık Kurbani, ~Aşık Garip, Karacaoğlan, Ercişli Emrah ve Aşık Kerem. Bu
halk hikayeleri şiir ve nesir karışık olup XVI.-XVII. yiizyiılara mal edilmektedir. Bunlar, -bazı motifleri çok daha eski olsa dahi- halk şiirinin bir taraftan tasavvuf ve klasik edebiyatın, diğer taraftan Kızılbaş ve Bektaşi ananelerinin etkisi altında kalmaya başladığı devirlerde oluşmuştur.

In the book of Dädä Qorqut, which is one of the works of the Old Anatolian Turkish period, the particles have different features according to the written language. This article discuss prepositional structures like ola kim, bolay ki, ola mı. They are shown in the sub-clauses together with examples of sentences in the text. Some of these are in the form of a compounded verb. The ola is in request mode. It became firstly petrified converb, later probably a particle over time. The use of this preposition is noteworthy in terms of reminding the structure of Old Turkic.

In the book of Dädä Qorqut, which is one of the works of the Old Anatolian Turkish period, the petrified converbs have different features according to the written language. Some of these can sometimes be both petrified converb and substantive. The article discuss ala like this. This word was of many researchers not understandable, which we will discuss here in this article.

Yazıda Prof. Dr. Gerhard Doerfer ve ekibince 1968 ve 1972 yıllarında İran’ın Halaç Bölgesine düzenlenen araştırma gezilerinde derlenen metinlerden 26 Halaçça Molla Nasreddin (Nasrettin Hoca) fıkrası ele alınmıştır. Metinler şu bölgelerden derlenmiştir: Çāhak, Hasan-ābād, Sar-i Band, Muhsin-ābād, Nadir-ābād, Jīrīk āğāç, Mūşakiya, Sifīd-ālā, Qara-Sū, Qurqur ve Şāqālū. Fıkralardaki dikkati çeken fonetical and grammatical özellikleri dipnotlarda açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

On the connection of the Kırcali (Gırcalı) sub-dialect with the dialect of Western Anatolia -based
on the data of the present tense suffix of Meninski- Adamovic firstly drew attention. According to the
available data, the Western-Anatolian region is not far from the dialects of the middle Deliorman Region.
As an example, we can show Edirne-Dağlı dialect, which is located at the dialect of East-Rumelia region.
For example: {-(I)vAr(I)} which is shown as a present tense suffix. In this study, on the basis of Kırcali
(Kardzhali) Dialect, the connection of Eastern Rumeli Dialect with Western Anatolian Dialect will be
compared with certain language criteria and common elements will be revealed.

Archery terms hold a prominent place in the vocabulary of the Book of Dede Korkut. Explanation of these terms is very important in terms of understanding the context of the text. These terms refer to different types of arrows, and their specific parts and forms. Consequently, they also contain information about Turkish archery in the pre-Islamic and early Islamic periods, for which the “Book of Dede Korkut” is an important source. The Dresden and Vatican manuscripts of the Book of Dede Korkut contain various errors and spelling mistakes by scribes or copyists, which caused researchers to misread and, consequently, misinterpret numerous words. Some of these critical terms and phrases relate to archery. Their translation into present day Turkish is also problematic and has not been fully resolved. Therefore, many disagreements are evident in its translation into present day Turkish. This article will re-evaluate certain archery terms that have been read differently, and present suggestions for their interpretion, namely: 1) Vat.79a.11: beri; 2) Drs. 56b.4: boğma kirişüm/ Vat.70b.3: burma kirişüm; 3) Drs. 67a.5-6: Ol kāfirüŋ üçin atup birin yarmaz okçısı olur.
The words under 1) and 2) are part of the same episode in Bamsı Beyrek, the third story of the Book of Dede Korkut. The phrase under 3) appears in the fourth story, Kazan Bég oġlı Uruz Bégüŋ ṭutsaḳ olduġı boy.
