Writing an OS is one of the most difficult challenges a programmer may face in his career. What makes it so difficult is essentially the absence of the abstract layers and tools software developers of today deem essential, and, above all, the lack of information.

Update: Ok. I did code my little OS, but I didn’t find the time to blog about it and now it’s time to move on, so I’ll write about different things.
