
Sanjay Madria
Dr. Sanjay Madria is a Curators’ Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly, the University of Missouri-Rolla, USA). He was the site director, NSF I/UCRC center on Net-Centric Software Systems. He was awarded ACM “Distinguished Scientist” title for his seminal work in the area of mobile data management for last 20 years. He won five IEEE best papers awards from conferences such as IEEE SRDS and IEEE MDM. He has published over 288 Journal and conference papers and graduated 17 PhDs and 33 MS thesis students. His H-index is 32 and the total citations count is 5750 . His research is supported by grants of over $15M from federal sources such as NSF, DOE, AFRL, ORNL, ARL, ARO, NIST, and industries like Honeywell and Boeing. He has also been awarded JSPS (Japanese Society for Promotion of Science) visiting scientist fellowship in 2006 and ASEE (American Society of Engineering Education) fellowship at AFRL from 2008 to 2017. In 2012-14, and in 2018-2019, he was awarded NRC Fellowship by National Academies. He has received faculty research awards six times from his university for excellence in research (given every 2 years). He served as an IEEE Distinguished Speaker, and currently, he is an ACM Distinguished Speaker, and an IEEE Senior Member and IEEE Golden Core awardee
