Happy things to think about today:

I ordered my copy of Adobe CS, and enough RAM to use it without slowing my computer to a crawl. Soon I will be able to arrange little pixels of light into shapes that will burn your retinas with their awesomeness.

I found this picture online, as well as a quote by Charles Schulz that I really hope he actually said. It was, "the way I see it, every child born should be issued a banjo."

Finally and most importantly, Katya's coming home on Sunday. She'll be with me for either a week or several months... jury's still out on that one. My ball of fur and nose will slam her forehead against my face repeatedly, looking for kisses while I try to play Secret of Evermore.

All righty... the vacation's over. It's nigh-on June. And my boss is away for a full week, giving me the freedom to accomplish a thing or two while at work. Which all adds up to as good a time as any to hunker down and start looking for an apartment. But I'm gonna need your help.

Beautiful! Here's what I need. All Chicago residents, and former Chicago residents, start spitting names of management companies/landlords at me. I'll be googling on my own, obviously, but it always helps to have reccomendations/warnings based on personal experience. Anyway, with names in hand, I can start making some calls and getting some appointments set up.

And don't go naming K&G as a joke. It won't be funny.
