昨晩は同級会、今夜はLLレッスンをお休みにして、上町町内会役員会でした。応募小説「時をかける少年」の構成を大きく変更中。今月の締め切り日が20日、間に合わせなくては！
Last night I was in a class reunion, and tonight taking a break from an LL lesson to attend a meeting of the Kanmachi neighborhood association executive committee. I'm currently making major changes to the structure of my submitted novel, "The Boy Who Leapt Through Time." The deadline for submissions this month is the 20th, so I have to get it done in time!

“Curling up”
むなしく さびしい そんなとき
からだを くるんと まるめて うずくまる
Sometimes, I feel empty and lonely. And when I do,
I curl up into a ball… and crouch down.
とくん とくん なみだつおと
いきている あかし
The sound of thumping, thumping, is
the real proof that I am alive.
まるくなるのは しぜんのげんり
みずは どんなに小さくわかれても
どんなに大きくなろうとも
まるくなろう とする
Becoming round is a natural process.
No matter how small the water is,
no matter how big it is,
it always tries to become … round.
まるくなるのは
大切なものをまもっているからかな
地球がまるいのも
たくさんのいのちをまもっているからかな
Perhaps it's because
it protects something precious.
Perhaps the Earth is round because
it protects so many lives.
まるくなって うずくまって
大切なこころ
そっと まもろう
Curling up,

After the coronavirus pandemic, we
are now able to take lessons without wearing masks, so we are resuming my
monthly lessons, YEA. All adults are welcome regardless of gender, nationality,
or English ability. It is held every 3rd Saturday at 7:30-9:00 in LL Shihoya
Arai Class, Material Fee of One Lesson: 3,000 yen (including tax)!!!
