What do you get when you live in Moose Jaw? You get one of Canada's Most Livable Cities! The City of Moose Jaw has been named the 5th most livable city on the prairies, and 57th in Canada in the Globe & Mail’s latest ranking of Canada’s Most Livable Cities.
According to the Globe and Mail, they “evaluated 454 cities using 58 variables across 10 key categories relevant to people considering relocation: economy, housing, demographics, health care, safety, education, community, amenities, transportation and climate.”
In the third annual report, released January 29, Moose Jaw climbed 21 spots from the previous year’s ranking (#78) overall, in addition to the following achievements:
- 4th most livable city in Saskatchewan
- 5th most livable city on the prairies
- 14th most livable medium-sized city in Canada (Pop. Between 30,000 – 99,000)
- #1 in Saskatchewan for housing affordability
- 4th best city for raising children on the prairies; 18th overall in Canada
