Awards and Programs
The City of Moose Jaw has several awards and programs open to Moose Jaw residents.
- Accessibility Awards – recognize individuals and business owners for their efforts to make Moose Jaw a more accessible place.
- Adopt a Flower Pot - There are 35 pre-planted flowerpots available for adoption in the downtown area. Flowerpots are to be placed in front of and watered by the businesses that adopt them.
- Beautification Awards - held annually since 1981 to recognize the people behind the outstanding properties in our city.
- Bench in Memory Program - commemorate a loved one with a bench.
- Boulevard Trees Program - provides boulevard trees to properties in Moose Jaw’s newest subdivisions.
- Heritage Awards - recognize individuals and business owners for their efforts in heritage conservation.
- Main Street Adopt a Bench Program - apply to transform a bench on Main Street into a work of art.
- Planting in Public Spaces - allows residents and groups to apply to plant trees and shrubs in parks and other greenspaces.
- Street Banner Program - apply to hang banners in downtown Moose Jaw.
- Tree of Significance - held each September since 2011 to commemorate National Tree Day.
- Tree in Memory Program - commemorate a loved one with a tree.
- Veteran Banner Program - this initiative provides an opportunity to recognize our local community members who have served our great country while acknowledging the sacrifices they have made so we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
