The SLC family: EAAT2 (SLC1A2)

Glutamate transporter

This transporter allows entry of glutamate coupled with 3 sodium and one hydrogen ion, in exchange for one potassium ion expelled from the cell. The bond-graph model is illustrated in the figure below, with the CellML model added for simulation purposes.

Because this has not been parameterised yet, there are no simulation results to show. The associated CellML file contains all equations needed to execute this model.
