Hello! I am a Twins/Mauer fan that is out of the Minnesota area, well, way out, in New York and was wondering if anyone saved/dvr-ed/ripped this piece that FSN produced of the Twins? I would love to see and share it with other fans as I run a fan site for Joe Mauer and I know they would really enjoy it too.
Thank you and Happy Holidays! |

» Twins pitching: WTF? |
So what the hell has happened to our pitching this week? The Texas series had me thinking that maybe the starting staff was getting into a groove, now I think we may need to make an offer for Halladay. This road trip can't be over soon enough.

» Carlos Gomez? |
The starting line-up today really got me thinking. Kubel started in left while Gomez sat out for yet another game. I couldn't figure out why it was Gomez who was sitting out again. Both Cuddyer and Span are due for a day off. And I think we could go just one game with out one of their bats in the line-up, today's game wasn't a make or break sort of game.
I know that Gardy said that Gomez wouldn't be an everyday player and that Gomez understood that. But is that really the right thing to do? I mean, Gomez is a really good 23 year old player, and he could be even better with the proper coaching and some quality playing time. If Gardy and the Twins have no intention on playing Gomez everyday I think he should be sent down so he will be able to become the amazing player that he can become. I don't think that sitting on the bench and getting into the game for some defence puposes is really going to help anyone. It won't help the Twins when they need Gomez to be an everyday player when Cuddyer is gone, and it won't help Gomez obviously because he won't be developed into the player that he could be. I think it's a waste of his time and his talent to sit him on the bench with no intention of using him.
I have a pretty good idea as to why they fear sending him down. The reason is the fans, they're afraid that the fans are going to get all upset becuase he's so popular and they don't want to do anything to upset the fans. But the way that I see it is that he's not really playing anyway, so what difference does it make? We as fans won't see him play here or down there. So, they might as well send him down, if that is in fact their reason.
Anyway, I was wondering what other people thought about this. Do you think they should send him down or keep him up doing what he's doing?

» What just happened?!? |
I turned on the tv a few times tonight to catch the game. I saw they were down 9-4 in the 8th inning, so I gave up hope and went to do something else - grumbling to myself that this team just can't get things going. Now I just turned it on and Joe Nathan was pitching the final outs in the 9th for an 11-9 win. HELLO Jason Kubel? I think someone finally woke up this sleepy team.

What is with that necklace Crain is wearing? Looks like a piece of rope and seems odd and out of place. Does it stand for something? Do any other players wear them?
