Gundabad missions goes really well. I come, pick, do everything, take rewards and enjoy activity. It’s good to be back ont he tracks. I gain Zhelruka Allegiance points and  Legendary item reward track. Plus, local currency can be used for nice things: local Allegiance items. In short – this is activity to make me max Allegiance with Zhelruka + supply my alt(s) with Zhelruka reputation items.

Windstorms started questing in Gundabad. This time I kill everything en route and do not rush. Quests are lined bad, navigation is bad – Mattugard is just a mess. A land one can only dislike. But still, quests are quests, I enjoy them.

SSG made another…debatable item. One goat was missing, so it was up to me to examine, among other things…famous goat droppings. Seriously? Or is it very specific humour?

My half of transport is done. I took 3 kids on guided tour. They enjoyed size and lore. They openly tell that I am good with lore. Yes, at least in Bloxd I am.
Now is my chance to carefully plan and then start something big. Not 10 villages with 20 people each and towns with 50 people! I need big towns with everything any normal town may need. I need more lore, explaining everything.

Master of Orion 2

Few lousy victories, made by waiting untill my planet produces enough battleships and Titans. Victories so worthless that they can hardly be named “victories”.

So, I finally have something to do in mmos. Be busy.

Real life intervenes again, this time with cat, so I have even less time for anything.

Gundabad mission were sort of funny, with only one – partially lame. Time-restricted, 10 minutes to kill all, use all and return to entrance. I barely made it, all thanks to maze. Another one required to stand on precise place, not a step left or right. Well…managed to finish it too.

And then it was level 5 of Zhelruka Allegiance. Time to talk to Prince Ingor. He – I suppose – was happy with ten rats I killed for him (tasty they were, dear Prince?). So now time for another job: clean debris and destroyed carts. Yeap, Prince, it was likely you and your friends who drank and smashed and it’s up to me to clean the mess YOU made?Then I had to collect coal, light brazziers, place flags. Prince seems to enjoy torturing wanna-be-heroes…

But it was sort of interesting anyway. The last part of quest was not completed: Prince required any Mission to be done. Well, I just finished all available missions. o it would be left for today.

Gundabad missions are mostly good ones. Few are mazes without any logic. And I enjoy them (not unlogic ones, of course). Even if they were nonsensic: the missions gives me purpose and valuable LI xp.

Other games: not played. Only short and lame Master of Orion 2 victory, wich took too long and any normal enemy would have crushed my Sakkras.

Real life intervenes again: I am trying to foster a cat, so when I have time to play, it would be without sounds and maybe just short session of Lotro.

Gundabad missions continue: quite nice, I have to admit. Also some means to spend time + gain LI xp in game. This time I got 6 missions: two from one Dwarf and 4 from another. Daily quest is 5, so I finished it quickly. Everything went easy and almost smoothly. It was mostly “kill all monsters, then kill named one” type. Was fun killing Giants – and then destroying live + stoned trolls. My dps were sufficient, mobs were killable. To make things better, at the end in chest I managed to find valuable +500 Zhelruka Allegiance items.

World chat was active with some bit humouristic roleplay (Dwarf and Elf engaging in dispute), some newbies got questions and quickly received answers.

Bloxd

I finally fot schematic of my half of Star destroyer style transport. It’s only for 10 people and lacks any escape means (due to little space). Now, if I am able to make one good ship – I can switch to building world. A new, better server with normal villages and then – big towns. Schematics would help alot.
I may be up to try to design bigger, 20 people size transport.

Other games were not played. SR is no longer an option, I barely take a look at their Discord.

My Gundabad missions are just nice. Mostly they are doable, enemies killable, navigation – present. Sometimes you can even enjoy them. One mission was a nightmare: a maze with no logical pattern and when I was told to move to exit – nobody appeared there. Had to relog, re-kill and only then Dwarf scout appeared. Others were quite easy and good.

I do enjoy these missions. They mean I always have something to do. They mean I have purpose in my questing (~58.000 allegiance points are not a joke). And yes, I run into mmo jokes (“Kill 10 rats”…bon  appetit,  Prince Ingor) or Dwarf lore (almost always kill Dragon kind).

Chat was active, I even managed to participate in it. Also good news for me.

No playing now, no playing for nearest future.

At least now my mmo life has purpose: grinding everything in Gundabad. Of course, it would be easier on next toon – less rush, more “kill them all” approach. Bloxd’s next server is planned for nearest future. This time much better, with navigation that is clear and offers reasons.

So, I finally have some mmo life.

I discovered something to be really busy with: Gundabad missions. Zhelruka Allegiance, so you join, go to Prince Ingor and do what he asks. First task was made humorous – famous “kill 10 rats” (along with bats, stoneclaws. Well, my dear Prince, I hope you enjoyed eating those rats…
Unfortunately, I rushed to quest, so missed wrapper which awards Allegiance points. Would have to regrind today.
Missions were quite good: you go, kill everything, receive reward. Monsters are killable, so most things could be fiary quickly and efficiently.
Managed to joke about leadership and my opinion about me hurrying to run mission was misunderstood by one player. He somehow thought I was blaming missions. Well…if I rush, who is to blame? Had to explain this step by step.

Bloxd

One very kind player took a serious job for me: he looked at my own little Star destroyer (triangle transport for 10 people) and remade it. Oh my, it was almost perfect. Unfortunately, he told that nobody pays him for spending 2,5 hours and so I had to take half of ship or leave. I asked to send schematic.
Yes, I had to trust that person. Trust absolutely. Give him almost all privileges. But risk was worth of it and result was great. A pity I cannot recruit that person into my future server.

Master of Orion 2

My Sakkra once again destroyed all life in all galaxy. Start was bad: an isolated pocket with few stars. Soon I discovered many habitable systems. Colonization madness followed, met Alkaris and destroyed them. Then there were evil Silicoids. I thought I lost – if left unchecked, these monsters will quickly gain huge powerfull fleets. I risked to start a war with primitive fleet. Luck (this  time) was on my side: Silicoids were all destroyed. Last civilization was quickly annihilated too.

Finally, there is some clarity in my online life: first, Lotro Gundabad missions; second – slowly gathering ideas for my future Bloxd server; third – SR is not an option in “what to play” dilemma.

Stormsong’s adventures in Gundabad continues. I am finally outside, in Car Bronath. So far it is a quality region. It has stories, twists, things to care about, humour. It could be navigated too. Quests are doable, redirections are pretty much logical and helpfull. In short, everything is contrary to Mattugard.

Now – all that remains are deeds that I am grinding. There I am succesfull too.  I also managed to have some nice talk with folks in /World chat, even joke about myself (my misadventures in locating one castle).

Loot is helpfull too: tons of reputation and crafting items that Stormsong or her alts would surely use.

The only grindy thing: giants (one place to farm and 240 to kill…) and partially – animals. Rest in this region is pretty much doable and nice.

Bloxd

Few servers to explore and bans received for just joining. Another kid started following me (“me helping u”), then (I was at spawn) he started shooting at me. So typical for kids.
My ugly Star destroyer-style transport is almost finished. It is kind of ugly, yet functional. So, I trusted one player to make his version of same Star destroyer. And this player was doing just great. Well, when I joined my own lobby on a no-name alt, I got ban. Joined second time – ban. Had to explain NOT to ban automatically…
So far main part of puzzle (spaceship) is going well. Functionally-wise it is functional. It has crew of 10 people with living quarters, kitchen, dining room, hospital (for 3 people), wc/baths, room for just rest, 2 rooms to control ship and finally – iconic ship bridge. Ship will have 2 little engines, 12 generators + 2 backup generators, big storage room.
Next step – design a normal medieval village and starta  new server.

SR

It must have been love / But it’s over now – sang one group and I can say same about SR. After recent update every skill purchase that required only xp points, now require local money. To be able to create a basic tool – you need thousands of currency. The only way to get it are quests (“missions”). Missions – judging from players’ feedback – are hard and mostly involving fighting. Since I have no weapon and basic weapon does symbolic damage – missions are not for me.
So: Missions hard -> no missions; no missions–>no money; no money–>no new skills; no new skills –> no crafting; no crafting –> no purpose to stay in game.
For me, it the end. Without crafting, I have nothing to do. Current system means I will always stay in noob state.
To my surprise, I was able to tell this to some of local elites. To my surprise, they were listening and even partly understanding.
I posted feedback on local Discord – as calm one, as I could. Received entire 2 responses, one from Raph himself. Well, I do not bother to read – their responses are predictable. So easy predictable, it’s not even fun.
These changes makes me to start leaving SR. This is no longer a game for me. I see where it evolves to and it does not…excite me.
One day I will leave this strange and nice game. Leave quietly, without drama – just disappear and forget. Of course, I would write thing like “Today I left SR. I wish them the very best luck” and that would be all.
A pity it ends this way, but let’s look at future: Lotro and Bloxd for the win.

Gundabad questing advanced…and then stopped. Well, some quest lines were interesting, even if we have seen “good orc” things before. It was a bit weird to see Beorning in this dungeon. I don’t think Beornings would ever go to such grumpy places, but let’s agres they can. Some Dwarven characters are made really good.
Navigation and overall map is complete nightmare and an example of how maps should never be done. It’s a map that one can just hate. SSG are really bad at making maps. They don’t think about player. It’s all about “let’s make 29 levels so players get lost, lol”.
And then I had to stop. I was directed to one small outpost. There was a road, a river, a bridge over river. I went there- oops, bridge is broken. Bridge was too high – jumping would mean death. To the right there as nothing. To the left – Angmarim camp. I went to camp – it’s ok, I could not travel to “my” settlement from there. It was a dead end.
So, my questing in G-bad stops, because it is impossible to advance. And yet someday I was there. Did they change maps? Or I miss some lame side quest to unlock some secret passage? No idea.
Result: I turned to grinding slayer deeds (exploration is nearly impossible to finish, since one flat map contains maps of some 5 levels. Go, figure…). Found some unfinished quests, so doing these boring “kill 5 orcs, return to me, go kill 3 more orcs, return to me…” quests.

Socialization is once again at almost zero. I ask – no reaction. I tell – no reaction as if I was invisible. Asked in Bree wioth ~20 playes being there…only one saw me and my posts.

Basically nothing. Just trying to figure out optimal setup for my little transport.

SR

Two miracles happened that made me happy. First – my main toon can use tools and run ‘harvest-craft’ circle. It is wonderfull. Then – I made some suggestion on Discord and somebody expressed support. Wonderfull, have to admit.

Naturally, my Stormsong on SR is harvesting everything, refining it and crafting. I am accumulating points. One day, when I could purchase skills, I would get all I need…and perhabs make some camp.

Unfortunately, one my important question got un-noticed. Also, I just notices (command “/who” for the win…) that my planet is inhabited by 2-5 players. Sometimes I am all alone. Whichis strange.

My online life is sort of good now. The only thing I do not understand: what the *** am I doing wrong with chats? I am polite, never touching anything risky (religion, politics, lore aspects). Almost never talking sarcastic Mordor propaganda. And yet – all my attempts to talk always fail. I am running out of ideas why.
I do need socialization and could not find one. I need to find what to do and right now it is grind for the sake of grind only.

But well, I have at least something to do.
