Lord of the rings online
I was bit too tired to do anything. Just log, chat, share jokes. After all this short-cold period, World chat is noticing me again.
There was nothing left to do, so I just chatted. Untill one person asked for help in purchasing five Universal Solvents. That’s rare and expensive item, used for end-game crafting. One that I always hoarded.
I asked why he needed five – turns out, it’s for some Essence box. I gave away those solvents for free. And was really glad to see this player happy. Maybe he will help someone in need too. That’s how I would like to see mmos: got help – give help.

Nothing happens. Random servers, random builds, mostly primitive or too gigantic. One half-usable medieval village with a big house that has golden roof…and future World Trade Center nearby. It just does not stick. Yet it had one nice flag. Another talented person built Venator class cruiser – the same famous Republic cruiser that took part in clone wars. Oh my, I could have needed some – if my server had at least some visitors.

My thoughts about portals got absolutely un-noticed, yet one simple question got answered. Discord community of SR – exist; in-game community does not.
I wish they had at least some quality of life improvements. Right now it’s “discover by yourself what does what and how to do anything”. If I was developer, I would make a single planet for testers to live on [which does exist]. I would make everything easy understandable, starting with TWO types of controls (letters / arrows) and ending with mini-map and returning to spawn skill. With simple background created, I could focus on important things like creating worlds.
SR would probably never turn into “Eve 2.0”. Eve 2.0 needs community, even of the most evil players. SR does not have community. It could form little clicques that rule planets and adore themselves.
Right now I can’t see my own place there. I play SR as a single player game. Yes, I could enjoy watching absolutely empty chat. Or such important community messages like Player A telling to someone else “Dig right there”. There is no sign of any community, big or small. Every play day just confirms it (even if I do wish I was wrong).
Right now – once again – I need to figure out what to do. If only there was some peacefull minecraft-type game (not Minecraft or Bloxd), free to play, played by adults where I could have my own corner and build my own civilization…
