I was farming Linhir part of Gondor. Half-trolls, Haradrim, then – beasts. Very dull, boring, absolutely uninspiring. Lucky for me – finished. I moved to quest “5 sisters”, which got to that boring “I will drown you – I hate you – I no longer hate, I am a good girl” topic.

Lucky for me, got redirection to another sub-part and will have something to do. Local quests give reputation with Pelargir, local taskboard – reputation with Ithilien. Profit, so to say.

I cannot think about Gondor as of important region. Dol Amroth is something. Remaining part is dull. They tried to add Aragorn’s camp, but it does not save otherwise dull region. Gondor makes me think that I want to do all deeds and leave it for good.

But – I got some new quests, some activity and this is good.

Yes, I finally have one TIE-fighter near spawn! Put two boards with short story about this fighter. Next would be redesigning all spawn, to make it look more interesting.

I started thinking about adding a small spaceship. One that houses 2 TIE fighters and 20 men. Unfortunately, such ship would be too high and I cannot think of any nice design. Ship needs engine section, starfighter section, cargo section, living quarters with medlab and kitchen, then – some radar and defense turrets, as well as pilot cabin.

All desing attempts ended with making ship without starfighter deck. It could probably have some 3 floors (engine-living-radar) with pilot cabin in the middle.

My days in Lotro are all “yes-ok-finish”, skipping quest texts and having no people to help me with lame 3 epic battles. Only friendly face I know shows up when I am offline; we just never meet. But at least I have yet another boring Gondor to farm.
(And extra TIE-fighter to fly the skies…).

Lotro’s maintenance once again was extended. We should probably get used to it, that game too often goes off.

After that – again nothing. I keep asking myself why should I kill another few hundreds of Orcs or rats. Or even why should I turn it hundreds of taskboard items and reach Kindred with another faction. For sake of Lotro points? Or just for sake of bartering some primitive horse?
There were no answers. There was no reason to slay rats or orcs.

I tried to talk with one kind player, but found no answers.

Only one normal build noticed – some helicopter. Of course, from stone, so it would never take off. Other than that – kids with “me owner, me ban” approach. And what I need is very simple, too simple: 2 TIE-fighters and one space transport, capable of transporting some 20 men + equipment. That’s all, that’s easy for experts.
Just experts are nowhere to be found, only kids with “me owner me ban” approach.

What an interesting day, full of thoughts. First: Gondor. Once again, I found myself asking – why the heck should I kill those beasts or half-trolls? They do not pose much danger, they would respawn. But the question of purpose remains. I could imagine regions where something happens/happened. Aragorn marches through boring Wastelands, to attack Black Gate. Thus, we need to clean as much as we can: explore region for safety of troops; kill every orc for safety of troops. No need to talk about Mordor, since every step is needed here. Or – protect lame Bree-land with fearfull Barliman. Save Hobbitses from evil goblins or wolves.

But Gondors, Anoriens, Ithiliens are different. Except Ostgiliath, nothing happens here. No reason to kill another hundred of monsters.

Then I logged Stormsong. To my luck, found one very kind Minstrel. We talked a bit. Thanks to all gods, he explained what I needed and what should I use. My new armour is…well…healing only and thus not for dps. My only solution is delvings, tier 7. Ones I always had problems with surviving. Ones I always need some company. And bearing in mind Laurelin’s cold, toxic community – I have extremely low chances of finding company.

But it could be worth trying. And yeah, it turns out I could craft modern essences and equip them. Having some 100 of them – I could afford. That’s what hoarding is good for.

So it was a good day. I got answers to my questions, I knew what to do, all thanks to very kind and wise player. If only we had more of these, we could have some [little] good, helpfull community.

And so it was that my last “Epilogue” is done. I met Jajax and his brother. We tasted wine, shared some nice moments. We wished each other good luck. And Jajax, our strange, but friendly Corsair, departed. Good luck, our honest pirate, may world be kind to you…and may you find some huge hoard of Scourge to live your life in luxury.

Which left me with nothing to do. There was no inspiration to grind. I knew I could. I also knew I want not. So I just talked in Bree regional. Managed to help one player: get recipe (Mordor one!), craft, send. At least some use from me to community. Yes, that tiny community Laurelin has – most players are just poisonous trolls.

Other than that – nothing to do. To make things worse, today we have yet another maintenance. Of course, long one. One can jokingly say, Lotro is indeed in maintenance mode…

Nothing. Just realising I must finish my town and then probably return to spawn. Redesign it, but for that I do need several TIE-fighters and at least one landing craft.

And so, my epilogues’ run us probably at 2/3. First, find one person seemingly killed. All thanks to Roamingstar, he returns.

Second, ill-famous Oathbreakers. One of them is lost while fighting for Sauron. Another one has some brain left and decides to return to the Mountain. Of course, it means quest – go, find several items located in all map. I did find, gave them to Oathbreaker and so he departed. Bye-bye, traitor, you will never be remembered or missed.

Which leaves me probably with the last Epilogue – one of Jajax. But this is for today.

Yesterday tried to kill one Arch-nemesis troll. Fight was good, once I was ont he verge of success…but alas, healing potions are not enough, pet is weak enough, so I failed few times in a row. A pity. I expected victory.

Also, trying to advance all doable slayer deeds in Dol-Amroth side of Gondor. Now grinding Orcs. later would turn to beasts and Haradrim. At the end – lame half-trolls, too little of them. What awaits after this is reputation with Pelagir. Kindred itself gives no real bonuses, except Lotro points. I expected “Return to Pelagir” skill, but there is none. So, another reputation wasted.

Which leaves me to wonder why entire regions of Gondor have their reputations of…zero importance? I mean, you really mean top of things to be simple mount, right? “Return to…” skills for Kindred would have been the best, but there are none.

Absolutely nothing. I am starting to understand one problem. It is my planning: I plan town on Excel, calculate numbers of houses etc. What if I just let things go? I mean, allow myself some freedom. Place houses where I want on the spot, not according to Excel.

And of course, need for some spacecraft, but no ideas there too.

My Loremaster grinded every single non-repeatable quest in Central Gondor. Some experiences were quite interesting, some – bit boring. Jajax’s line is interesting and later it is funny to watch Gondorians’ reaction to this kind pirate. Or situation where river maiden banishes Oath breakers back to their caves. Other quests were really boring “blah blah, go talk to NPC, blah blah, return to me”. I barely ready quest texts. Just let me finish it all quickly.

Central Gondor is good in terms of deeds. Except Warbands and Treasure chests – everything is quite good. This is what I will do next.

Because right now, all non-repeatable quests in Central Gondor are finished for me. I have nothing more to do. So just use taskboard items to get Kindred with Pelagir and finish slayer deeds. A pity epic would be stuck: I am not able to do remaining three Epic battles solo. It’s just impossible.

One kind player sent me lots of armour and stuff. I am really gratefull…even if would have to figure out how to configure this armour. But hey, it’s new and better.

Legendary weapons: upgraded to new traceries, because reached lvl.106. A chance to spend Ancient script (and use hoarded boxes of script).

One word: disappointment. First, even kids build better Gothic structures than me (I lack fantasy). Yes, kids make buildings that look nice, but won’t function: big house with no beds to sleep and no fireplace, while roof is from super heavy stone. Mill with wings from stone (will surely break). I tried to ask almost everyone, but nobody want to aid me.

Next – my spawn, according to players, is disappointingly empty. I need to place some space vehicles, but cannot build them. Too hard to make proper fighter/transport, while Minecraft blueprints are super complicated and my builds are just uglyness.

I need some inspiration and maybe even re-building something from scratch.

Right now I feel stuck. In Lotro there is no progression, no sense of achievement. Untill Mordor everything is boring and grey. Social life is non-existent. I do need to find some … purpose. I really do.

Long downtime ended. At morning I was able to turn in last task items. Kindred with Dol Amroth, hurray! Then – “Return to D.A” skill, ride to Ethring.

Ethring is boring as uninteresting, as always. Aging ruler, few locals, boring tasks, instant whining about darkness. I did not bother to read texts. Kill orcs, take fish, talk to ruler, kill orcs…
One warband proved impossible to finish – local Undead group. Leader has full immunity, adds are too many – so even with my pet I was unable toa chieve anything. Only Minstrel with superb AoE or Hunter could be able to deal with this monster.

Of course, my Jajax, as always siting in local tavern and drinking beer. At least one NPC that I could care about. Weird, funny, but still – interesting.

I have little interest in this Ethring. Do what must be done, grind as many deeds as possible – and bye-bye, little grumpy town, would never miss you. The only thing that is interesting, are task board items: I would gather them and store for future alts. You know, just stand, use and get to Kindred or more.

Level 105 is still far away. I do need this level to use new essences…and spend Ancient script, already have too many of it.

Nothing interesting, probably kids are on vacations, so – nothing to see or do.

I could not force myself to grind same camp(s) 15-20 times in a row. Grind one, then regain sanity, grind another, grind third… It nakes no sense. A camp with 15 orcs that poses grave threat to all region. Little camp of bandits that is threat to Dol Amroth itself? Seriously?

So I just keep turning in taskboard items to reach kindred with Dol Amroth. Then I barter “Return to…” skill. And could move forward, to grumpy “allways the night” regions of boring Gondor. No need to waste time on nonsensical deeds.

And then I reluctantly logged Stormsong. There is nothing for me to do on her toon in Lotro. Everything that could be done is done. What remains is just impossible things (like find entrance to town in the sky – and town has no entrance at all). So – I got email. I thought it was something boring or housing authority.

Oh my, it was one very kind player. He sent me lots of mails, ech containg end-game equipment and words of encouragement. That was most surprising and most generous. I still cannot believe such miracles can happen.

Just random servers. Very funny to watch typical bloxd population: 3-7 years olds. 11 years is old, 18 years old is super-veteran. So, all these 3-7 years olds were killing everyone in spawn or just making spawn without exit. Some banned me when I entered. Some were angry I questioned their lame “designs”. But of course, no purpose to explain to kindergarten kids about serious matters, like responsibility and politeness.

Today Lotro would be on almost 2 days (Lithuanian time) maintenance. Once again, super-long one with no improving to game. Would have to laugh at Bloxd’s kids.

And finish boring Gondor as soon as possible. With no chance to finish epic up to Minas Tirith.

I stood in Lamedon – and knew that if I start grind, it would take days. Farm one camp 15 times in a row; farm another camp 15 times in a row; go to Paths of the Dead and farm several hundred ghosts…boring as hell.

Logged Stormsong, tried to talk. Nothing good happened. Some jokes, then suggestions to go to pvp or roleplay. PvP is not for me, while roleplay is something I fail or am not expert at (could not name all Dwarf kings or real differences between Sindarin and Quenya).

Also, one player in-directly adressed me. I have -for some reason- put him on ignore. God knows why, since it does take effort to get into that list. I do not know what to do, since I can’t remember reasons and without reasons of war there could be no peace.

Nothing serious, just these kids with “teleport or ban” approach. No lobby with normal population.

And so, I am again at dead end. Little ideas about what to do, very little socialization – in short, just another grey zone.

Gondor and more Gondor! After Big battles becoming impossible – I returned to Morlad. Did every single quest there, gathered all taskboard items I could get. And yes, always turning in task items: kindred with Dol Amroth is a must, it allows “Return to Dol Amroth”.

Still do not bother to read texts. Blah-blah, we are in trouble, blah-blah, kill ten rats. Only few times were quests interesting. One of them – very short history of Morlad subregion. I was lucky to not skip it.

Landscape quests were nice in directing me from one town to another. NPCs acted wisely, like – “It’s really important, go and inform [neariest big city] guard”. Of course, at the end there was Dol Amroth. With surprisingly little quests there. Dailies are still there, but I do not bother.

And yes, our famous pirate Jajax. One weird and funny, rarely met honest pirate. I enjoyed at least his quest line. Of course, Jajax, we shall meet again and again.

Few downsides: some slayer deeds are intentionally bad. Kill bandits, when there is only one place with them. 19 bandits, when you need some 300 for simple and advanced slayer deed. Orcs, once again ~20, when you need same 300 for simple and advanced. Corsair slayer is not a problem, these are not rare. Animals are not a problem too. Oathbreakers may be a problem, because they are met in Paths of Dead. Hill of Erech is full of them only at night. At daytime we have goats and bears and mountain lions.

Progress so far: realistic exploration deeds done. All quests in Western Gondor are finished (except Tarlag’s Crown, but this is another topic). Some 3 warbands killed (one Raid level was finished by my Lynx and my AoE attacks! Impressive!). Kindred is still some 15.000 points away and it means grinding.

Met one kind player who spent his time in explaining Loremaster details. His impressions, contrary to my beliefs, are that I am equiped adequately. Thanks to all gods that kindness still exists in Laurelin.

Future is clear: use taskboard items (+3000 points), then grind slayer deeds to quickly reach Kindred. Only with Kindred – move to another part of Gondor. One that is boring always-the-night with always boring NPCs.
