Zharaza continues to quest, this time – mostly epic quests in Evendim. Sometimes they were nice, sometimes – stupid running from point A to point Z. I killed emissaries of Mordirith, then stole Palantir, saw several cutscenes with Amarthiel.

And then – long running in service of Mister Mordrambor. The captive, who manipulates others and would finally escape, killing one Elf. But meanwhile, I explored, protected, looted, protected again, teleported to Angmar. Hunter is pure joy in these quests – this class allows one to travel quickly without spending mithril coins or in-game currency.

Right now, I must finish deeds in Evendim, then – run boring epic and allow to be redirected to icy desert of Forochel.

And see to revenge upon mister Mordrambor, of course.

Grumpy Angmar saw several impossible quests cancelled. They are impossible to finish, due to miscalculations or just lazyness of developers. I left only one quest – to find some lame NPC and escort it. Maybe one day some friendly person would summon me to that NPC, because now NPC stands on high cliff, unreachable by any means.

I finished some landscape quests and epic ones. Saw Miss Amarthiel in all her…beauty. Got killed by her (that’s how she realises “thank you…”). Teleported to Rivendell, then – to Golodir and quest to “gather allies” in Combe, ost Guruth, Esteldin. For some reasons Combe sheriff did not give me quest: Esteldin folks did.

I looked at lotro-wiki and realised many of epic quests would be in Evendim. So, Angmar abandoned, I must quest in Evendim, witness Anuminas and grind all possible reputation there. At least this land is a bit easier to navigate.

Angmar is worthless and depressing. Map does not work, some deeds takes too long to complete, their rewards being too low.

Meanwhile I finished first part of Hunter quests, buying some items in Skirmish camp. Next part is in Moria.

My next adventure is clear: Evendim. At least some rest and normal navigation…

Zharaza quested in Angmar and with little luck. Too many things went wrong. Landscape is the worst for navigating, quests involve too many “run forward, then back”, too many things are impossible.

Go, kill Mordirith. Good while on-level. Otherwise, he is wounded and runs away. Had to reset instance few times untill I used weakiest attack. Then – some “boiling water”. wherever I go to take samples, I am forced into green water and kill, no chance to advance. After that – kill some spirit. Spirit comes, I attack, spirit runs away: my attacks are too powerfull. Just what to do when weakiest is some 10,000 and spirit is 4000 hp strong? Equip fork instead of LI? Nobody thought about that and now some quests are impossible, I need to cancel them.

Angmar offers no fun. A region one really wishes to leave as soon as possible. To make things worse, half of volume I is precisely there. Or at least some 60 epic quests. To suffer this senseless running where map shows exacty price of milk in Arctic at 1253 BC. – it’s just too much.

Angmar, I do wish to finish deeds, finish/cancel your quests and forget about thee.

Misty mountains finally done (except Goblin town…no need to go there), Epic redirected me to grumpy Angmar. These wastes, unhealthy swamps with lots of orcs, goblins and other creatures around.

I do not bother reading quest texts. Blah-blah, go kill 10 slugs. Blah-blah, locate this, talk to that. Blah-blah, next, yes, finish. However, I try to stop at almost every deedable monster. This way, finished Orc slayer, Angmarim slayer; greatly advanced warg, troll slayer deeds.

Managed to help local rangers, finally could travel past evil stones. Taking every single quest (except instance ones), using every single reputation item. Just because they drop and I want to jet-level reputation. Besides, got second Hunter skill to return to Garth Fornir. This is where Hunter shines: where others depend upon milestones, Hunter relies on skills.

Angmar looked most depressing – I mean, before The Wastes and Mordor. All this unhealthy-looking landscape, these two big evil towns (with sewers…Lotro really likes this stuff, from petrified droppings to sewer system), these [rare] abominations…

And screeching Cargul that I like to kill every single time. Because I can kill Cargul with one shot.

My questing in grumpy Angmar just started. More time to spend, more enemies to kill and Lotro points to grind.

First – we have new Legendary item reward track. And with this came changes: all lvl.45 LI xp runes no longer exist. To make things worse, xp needed for one level was raised some 3 times (without notifying players). Some useless “rewards” that has nothing to do with LIs were added. Ones that I personally would trash, like “Hobbit dance” emote. With such thought, next year we would probably have to grind 1 million xp for first LI reward track level, but get some “throw crap into air” emote.

Stormsong logged in, joked about bright and free land of Mordor and told she was promised title of Lord and castle in Mordor. No doubt, by Lady Lhaereth herself.

Zharaza quested in Misty mountains. Running there and here, killing things…and avoiding Goblin town. I have nothing to do there, in this maze of twisting passages and stairs, where map is of very limited use. Yes, I know – epic places, some deeds (and Lotro points) as well. Yet – too long to finish all.

Then there were task items I turned in, teleporting to Thorins hall to finish one Misty mountains quest.

And finally – Sarnur. Killing Dourhands, killing beasts and trolls. Trolls were easy ones, beasts – not so. Even managed to kill two named beasts. Tried to locate others with Hunter skills, but in vain. Met one lvl.57 Brawler who outperformed my lvl.120 Hunter. Sounds weird, but I saw it. Brawler ran much faster than me, had very quick and deadly ranged attack (unlike me) that apparently had no cooldown. However, soon I finished almost all deeds, including nice-sounding “Betrayers’ bane”. Used all reputation items I got and hurray – Kindred with Thorins hall.

With epic in Misty mountains finished, it is time to grind all deeds there. Earn Lotro points, sell loot – and then move to uninviting dead landscape of Angmar.

Questing in Misty mountains continues. I am finally Kindred with Elves of Rivendell and finally have “Guide to Hrimbar”.

Epic in Misty mountains is done. I came, killed Skorgrim, killed wighs, received some medaillion, then ran Helegrod treasury (no treasures found), finally – confronted Nazgul and saw how undead Dragon flies away.

You know, never trust wighs. They may be scary, yet they lack brain. Instead of using any magic trick – well, they used wighs. Result – no Dragon for Mordor and many problems for Middle Earth. Lose-lose, as they say.

After epic, I just followed landscape, killing everything deedable, exploring. Ran into quest where Dwarf sets his beard on fire and it is up to me to find some cure. Of course, I am to rush to Rivendell, to see Gandalf. But that would wait. Right now, there is lots of killings to do.

Meanwhile developers are destroying low-level LI xp runes. They were usefull for players, so that folks could get those Ancient scripts. Not more -tell us developers – for we, developers, enjoy people suffering. No no, happy player is not one SSG want to see. Suffering one, who spends lots of money is their ideal. A pity SSG knows little about marketing. So little, even I could know more.

And so the day has ended, almost good one in Lotro.

Finally, finally I have finished Wolf and Crawler slaying, thus finishing all deeds in Trollshaws. Things done, reputation and Lotro points gained. I finally moved to icy maze of Misty Mountains. First quests were a bit banal,but I care too little.

Quests and deeds exist to be done, reputation-xp-rewards received. I will do them all.

Meanwhile I accidentally finished one exploration deed, started some slaying deeds and grinding reputation with Thorins Hall + Elves of Rivendell. Everything goes smootly: I ride, I stop, I kill, then continue riding.

/World chat saw some funny talks, we joked, even about “every day for Stout-axes was a whipping day”. Great many talks about Tolkien lore – talks, where I can but listen.

Misty mountains would mean “Return to Hrimbarg” skill which would be really usefull. Hunter, lightspeed traveller of Middle Earth…

And so the day has ended. Bye-bye, crawlers, time to grind Misty Mountains.

Weekend was Trollshaws one. Killing everything, exploring last locations, then returning to kill everything that moves.

Results: everything explored; only wolf and crawler slayer deeds (advanced) remain, all at ~80/160. I keep running in circles, killing wolves, then crawlers/bears and repeating. It’s absolutely boring, yet I have to finish Trollshaws.

After that – snowy maze of Misty mountains awaits me. Would be good, because it rewards reputation with Rivendell Elves. Kindred would be soon too.

And so weekend of grind has ended.

Zharaza was really busy, as always – counting number of quests. Go there, run here, locat that, talk to this…On the move all the time.

I had to talk to NPC, then aid Legolas + Gimli (travel to Misty Mountains too early), then ride to Thorenhad, then ride around, return to Thorenhad, locate caves, return to Thorenhad…

Lucky, I am lvl.121 and monsters are afraid of me. Otherwise it would be a nightmare.

Slayer deeds are advancing really slowly. Wolves are rare, crawlers are rare, wighs and worms are in 2 locations only, giants – in one and not too much of them. I would probably spend more time than expected in order to finish all deeds.

And yes, I had to chase a Nazgul. Found his fell horse (dead) and that’s all. Why chase when simple golden ring is enough? Just claim you had One Ring…or even lesser Ring of Power – then watch Nazul arriving to you. No chasing, just small talk. But no, one has to chase.

So, Trollshaws would be a bit long and boring. Then – Misty Mountains with worst navigation in Eriador.
