Lord of the rings online
Zantipe quested in Dunland, grinding levels, growing up Legendary weapons, using almost all LI runes to max weapons. Now, weapons are maxed, un-needed ones deconstructed.
Kinship chat: talked about this and that. One very kind kinnie asked if I am ready to bring my Dwarf back home? Iron hills region he told – was on sale. 500 Lotro points (75% off: a realistic price?). Won’t be cheapier, he told and he was sure I could grind these points on single toon.
If there are constant, un-changing things, then we have three of them: developers’ team and their approach to game; our Kinship leader and his pressure that I do something; and that kind player with his pressure that I do something.
Bye-bye 500 Lotro points. Account item – Iron Hills region – purchased.
I logged Stormsong. Folks joked that “some bear was trying to take your place”. Recall to Hall under the Mountain. Some quests inside. One more quest inside, but I did not do it.
Things are not good in Dwarf Kingdom. Some Dwarves went to Iron hills. Some are rebelling against King’s edict. It was up to me to investigate. Then, one Loremaster was sent by King to investigate. Selfish Loremaster told me to do things – investigate this and that, explore these, finally – locate Jazargund and speak with locals. Received some quests en route: kill battle cats, mine specific ore. Started slayer deeds, doing them with great pleasure (Lotro points! Virtues!).
After some exploring (one town fell to evil Jangovar) – time to another settlement. Local Dwarves, Zhelruka ones. Some almost interesting stories of them. Started to collect Rusted Pages – this Mordor innovation is really good, whoever invented it, should be commended with solid $.
Jazargund – a bit decaying half-town, more like mine where Dwarves live. Talking with their King, citizens, looking for lost stuff. Citizens are divided about Jangovar “refugees”, some want to expell, some like these to stay. I would vote for expelling: let them live as they want in their own settlements, making their own fate.
First impressions: landscape is blank, poorly done, not impressive at all. Rusted Pages are perfect! This poetry, Dwarf-themed, with nice ending about “Iron hot and Iron strong” – this ir perfect! I do want to collect, to listen. Quest texts: since these are Dwarves – I read them. These are interesting, if one reads them. Speaking about Zhelruka, their stories, mild distrust towards others, even Longbeards. Rewards: only Longbeard marks matter, everything else is trashed.
Right now I am stopped at quest to investigate lost convoy. Well, should not be easy, knowing game’s logic…
Deeds: slayer deeds are reall refreshment. Something to do, get marks, reputation, Virtue points. Exploration deeds may be harder.
So far I am satisfied. My Minstrel performs good, enemies are killed almost easily. While landscape is blank and not impressive, quests are nice and somewhat impressive.
My adventures in Iron hills started. Let us see what the future holds.
