Basic Lothlorien quests are complete. Camps scouted, orc mocked and defeated. Finally. Now I know not what to do. Too unwilling for Mirkwood, too little for Enedwaith.

I am stuck in quests, no help available, cold unfriendly community with ninja-invites (that I always reject). Absolutely nothing to do. Switched to Achievements and started grinding Dromund Kass: kill 250 of these, slay 50 of those, end suffering of 100 that. Gaining some exotic points I would probably never spend. Doing exploration as well.

Since it is SWTOR, there is nobody to ask for advice, everyone is busy boosting on how cool he/she is or just slaying stuff around.

I took some “Heroic” missions, some were problematic due to scaling. Result – quests finished, loot thrown out, credits received, xp too.

Right now I have to kill many creatures: animals, droids, Mandalorians, some weird sounding stuff too. To do some Heroic quests for deed (i.e. achievement). What to do when I finish all slaying on Dromund Kaas? Move to some other planet and grind everything again?

Or decorate my house? Already got storage (nice!) and post box (superb!). Placed few freeby decorations. That’s all. Housing system is a bit better than Lotro one.

The day has ended, bit grey in both games.

Logged in. Took Hobbit presents. Chatted with kinnies about me being lost. Unwilling to run same and same content for 4th time, scout same camps, kill same Orcs. Absolutely no task boards, so only grind remains. One kinnie reacted bit cold, others advice moving to Enedwaith.

Which could mean ruining my plan to follow epic, grind all in each region. I already left Volume I behind, its evil Angmar, tons of runnning. Abandon Lothlorien, Mirkwood – and rush to Enedwaith?

Imperial Fleet. Chat with 133 members (fleet is one of most active). Asked for aid. Explained I was noob, explained what quest I was on, what went wrong.

Deafening silence. Other players were busy with their own trade, valuing almost every item in millions. Want to buy, want to sell, someone asked for weekly end-game quests.

Nobody cared about help. At the end one kind person (so untypical for swtor!) replied. Explained at least some mechanic.

Nevertherless I was left alone. Without any help, with one player being somewhat helpfull, with no chance to get group for forced fellowship content.

I reached endgame sooner than expected. All that remains is do deeds in old regions, decorate my own “stronghold”, grind in-game currency to improve rating with Ashara.

That’s all that is left for me in Swtor.

I do need inspiration for both games. Urgently. Or I may abandon both

I found my toon in Imperial fleet. Local chat was busy, so I politely asked to help noob and explained the situation. Rest of evening was waitinf for any kind of answer. There was none, everyone was busy about himself and trade.

The community of Swtor is mostly cold, unfriendly, elitist. I think, there’s no such thing like roleplay or just random helping noobs (like mine “Anybody needs help with questing?”). You are in solo game where out of sudden you have to be in group. In solo non-online game.

Logged off. The day was empty and bit grumpy.

No play. Difficult to admit it. Spoke with kinnies telling frankly that I dive into Swtor. I do love choices that matter. I like my companion. I like my Inquisitor that rushes into heart of battle and nukes stuff with his only AoE attack. This is what proper Lotro Champion should have been. It isn’t.

Meanwhile Minas Morgul is announced at November 5. Not March for free players?

Hard times there are for Sith Empire. Despite all victories, despite all my actions to make Empire better – war is going wrong. First move was to secure mysterious “Isotope-5” on Makeb.

Alas, greedy Hutts decided to mine Isotope for themselves, destabilizing planet core. Makeb was about to explode. My first mission was a failure: faced only some Isotope-powered droids. No istorope. No chance to extract it from droids. Darth Council leader was extremely dissatisfied.

Which left more job for me. Go, kill Hut forces. Incite population to revolt against Huts and choose if you are nice or cruel. Empire is nice, listens to everyone and makes everyone’s life better – so I was nice eve where situation dictated slaughter. Thanks to me, engineers contributed to aid and were allowed to escape (See? Sith are nice, join Sith). After much fighting, planet core was stable, Isotope was secured, Hutt and republic forces were withdrawing.

Alas, my trustfull Makeb officer was dead. Taken prisoner to Hutts, tortured. Asked Darth Marrr to remember her, loyal and trustworthy person who died as brave and good Imperial. Their names would be carved in Dromund Kaas to honour true heroes of the Empire.

Unfortunes did not end there. Republic anounced terrible news: Emperor was dead, assasinated by coward Republic, and Republic told it was coming after each single Sith and their followers. Wait, even for me? I allowed almost all of you escape, was nice and this is how you repay? Cowards.

Next – next is failure again. Flashpoint, I managed to go half of it and then got stuck with Jedi master. He summoned falling rocks that killed my 2 companions and finally me. No escape from such falls.

Side note: managed to purchase housing (“stronghold”) at Nar Shadaa. Some 250,000 credits, some hooks, yet no decorations. Could place my companions as decorations…

I did enjoy Swtor, but right now I am close to being stuck. Flashpoints are extremely hard, almost no chance to get help (unless you are in Fleet). My toon is really nice, wish Champion was so powerfull…or even Sith warrior.

Weekend has ended, quite good in Swtor and really empty in Lotro.

First, one impossible quest cancelled. Then, moved to Taris for some quest. I thought, it’s simple one use quest…

Me wrong. A line of quests. They brought me to one Sith and his female apprentice. Nice, yet too cruel lady, always at odds with me and alas, I can’t kill her. With her always being a thorn in my back – managed to kill some Republic troops and even turn local beasts against Jedi. Jedi were smart to poison water so beasts run to Imperials. Tables have turned, I managed beasts mad and they rushed to kill Republic soldiers.

One Jedi. One poor Jedi who wanted to turn beasts to the light side. He got killed, by the same beasts he trained. They turned to me, to the Dark. Strangely, Ashara did not disapprove.

Another weird thign: hospital, where one Imperial officer asked me to contaminate water with virus. No reactions rom Ashara, while I expected some.

And of course, that female apprentice, always at odds with me. One day I will kill her and really want to do it slowly slowly…

Social life is almost at zero. Right now am doing old quests, no idea what to do after them: Flashpoints are impossible, since zero chance to find a group.

The day has ended, kind of good in Lotro.

My Inquisitor quested in Voss. Downgraded by game to lvl.48, searched for The Heart of Darkness. Finally, found, some evil creature, defeated its avatar, fred some Gormac, he told Voss and Gormac were the same. I had to take good choices to receive Ashara’s approval. Local Imperial was grumpy, he told I ruined some subtle politics. Inquisitor, my dear, knows better and does what is most usefull for the Empire.

Quests ended – I had nothing to do. Chated with other players. And there fun begins: Swtor does not have global chat! Come on, it’s new game…and no global? You just happen to use regional ones: once in Hoth, you are in Hoth chat, once in imperial fleet – chat of imperial fleet. Players adviced me to go PvP (which I refused). Lack of social life – players confirm it. Well, that does not make me feel better. Lack of any socialising, ranting, joking. No groups. No private invites to Guilds. Almost no trade. If there are questions, they mostly will be un-answered. Game feels like solo one: others does not notice me, I do not notice them.

Right now I have some lower lvl. stuff to do in Swtor. After that…emmm….kill same things over and over, grind money, buy Slave outfit to Ashara? Lotro comes in mind, but once again: same and same Orc camps, go, explore, use, kill, return to Elves and they would send you to go, explore, use, kill…After that do repeatable quests to reach Kindred. And after that – grumpy Mirkwood.

I do need inspiration for any of games.

Questing in Lothlorien. Boring quests. Go there, explore these camps. Oh right, locate some stuff. Kill some orcs. Return to quest givers. Go here, explore another camps. Oh right, locate another stuff. Kill some named orcs. Returm to quest givers.

Did some of these, Beorning performed nice…even if I forgot some skills, starting to get used to Swtor’s…

And then logged off. Sorry, it was boring. Combat was nice, quests were boring, I can think about them only as “skip text-rush to area-kill something-return”.

We had huge downtime. Then long update. There are some graphic improvements, some weird new statuses on armour. Sellable stuff lost description.

My Sith Inquisitor did one remaining quest on Illum. There was nothing more to do, so I travelled to Voss and dealt with local Gormaks. Spared their King, all in the name of Ashara and influence to her.

I thought it would be single quest…nope, entire chain of them. I have to go to some Darkness territory and do something here. Ashara would help me, I need romance with that spoiled girl.

Swtor is nice, even if limitations for f2p are bit harsh (no chart untill lvl.25, unable to sent mails, 1 minute cooldown in chats). Community is cold and almost non-existent, I could not receive answers to few simple questions last days. No Guild advertising, only some ninja-invites. Lotro community does shine, it’s helpfull and nice. Swtor makes me stuck with 2 or 3 flashpoints: unable to finish, because no chance to find group.

And so the day has ended, quite effective in Lotro.

No play. Sorry, still cannot force myself to grind stuff in Lothlorien, then grind again, again, again…untill Kindred.  And cannot think about Minas Morgul, something I have to force myself to do. Plus, this unfair treatment of free players.

Betrayal! Darth Malgus, whom I have helped, fought for – now stages rebellion. He proclaims new Empire, disbands Dark Council and starts using his invisible armada. Now it’s up to united Imperials to strike down this usurper. Even if some of his ideas are usefull (like integrating aliens).

And this is where my almighty Inquisitor failed. Flashpoint. Group area. Enemies wer really strong, I had to run from them, my weapons doing almost zero damage. Then – “Open gates”, only to find gates being guarded by two invicible monsters.

I was killed. No chance to win. No groups to find (chats were dead). Left instance, decided to do landscape quests.

So far Illum is interesting, yet mostly disappointing. Maze that requires to run backwards and forwards, some enemies too weak, some – too strong. Like one Republic admiral who summoned adds, killed me several times untill I managed to do miracle and kill him. His adds were really weak, though.

Community in SWTOR is really cold, unwilling to help with advice (nobody asks for free stuff). My questions yesterday were un-answered.

However, today they launch new expansion. F2P receive +10 levels, access to some expansions and some minor things. Yay!

The day has ended, bit grumpy in SWTOR. Today would be forced to play Lotro’s boring Lothlorien content.

Logged to take Hobbit presents only. Small hat with Kin. Everyone awaits new expansion pack, yet our developers repeat Mordor’s mistake.

Yes, Minas Morgul would be available for Lotro points. It happens March next year. Half a year to wait! Why don’t they make, say, 6 years? Neet to greed?  I am upset with this system for privileged few.  Yet our developers do not learn from mistakes.

Having a blast with SWTOR. Inquisitor story line reachesd turning point: confronted Darth Thanaton several times, each time coward escaped…only to be caught before Dark Council. I fought him and won (thanks to Ashara’s heals). Thanaton was finished by other member of Dark Council and I, I was elevated to the rank of Darth Imperius. Tasked with keeping ancient Sith traditions and artefacts. My allies bowed before me.

A moment of triumph, something I went for. Finally.

Before that, I had fighting in Corelia. Unwise world resists the Empire, so it was to me to wipe Jedi, local corporation, then be kind to local collaborators. And yeah, it was up to me to decide Corelia’s fate. For the sake of ratings and Ashara – chose light side. Corelia would be free (within Empire…), since our Empire understands needs of her citizens, Empire does not mean violence. At one point I saved Republic wounded soldiers. Allowed them to escape: Empire does not always mean massacre.

Then I had Illum planet, avenging some “Delta squad” that got killed, destorying shield generators, disabling cannons – and then must prepare to secure some crystals that would allow invisible fleet to be built.

Illum is interesting, yet – icy maze, almost no direct routes. Reminds me of worst solutions in Lotro…

Romance with Ashara is going good, even if I had to spent some 400,000 credits for gifts to become higher affection with the spoiled girl. Yet we think about kids and peace with Jedi and Sith. Yay!

In short: SWTOR so far is the game for me. So many stories, so many choices that may meet me in future. Lotro does lack choices, everything is chosen for me, I can’t witness any result of my own choice (except Hytbold). Lotro – unfortunately, I am stuck in Lothlorien, with little wish to run same content again and again untill Kindred.

Need fresh inspirations. Now.

Not played. On the web they are discussing Minas Morgul expansion, I care very little. Unless they make a miracle and do a quality story content, like Rohan and Mordor. 99% probability I won’t buy it.

My adventures on Voss almost ended. Finally reached that evil Dream walking ritual, performed it, killed many illusions, probably got free of ghosts. Kept promise (Sith are good, see?) for one Gormak to bring him to space so that his race travels here.

Romance with Ashara is advancing, she confessed she loves me, most pretty being in the Universe.

Right now, I left Voss and one quest here. Need to travel to Corriban to get a new apprentice, one wild brute. Won’t use him much, all I need is Khem Val for hard stuff and Ashara for romance. Others may protect ship.

Social life: none. No random IMs like in Lotro (“Hi, how do u do? Need help?”). Everyone runs and leaves. Chats are mostly empty.

I do need to return to Lotro, but right now it’s a choice between grindy content I have rerun and new, inviting content. No-choices, everything on rails versus choices and results of them.

The day has ended, quite good in Swtor. Looking forward to romance…and killing Darth Thanaton.
