Biographical Information

I am an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, in the Department of Business Administration. I am also an Honorary Lecturer at University College London (UCL), UK. Furthermore, I am a member of the following research groups: SOLAR, BALab, and CAIL.

From May 2019 to November 2024, I was a Research Fellow at the CREST research centre, and a member of the SOLAR research group in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL), UK. My research supervisors were Professor Federica Sarro and Professor Mark Harman.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands and a member of theSoftware Engineering Research Group (SERG), under the supervision of Dr. Georgios Gousios and Professor Arie van Deursen.

I completed my PhD in Software Engineering in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, under the supervision of Professor Diomidis Spinellis.

Before that, I earned my MSc in Computing (Software Engineering) from Imperial College London, UK. I received my BSc in Management Science and Technology from the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.

Research

My research interests lie in the areas of empirical software engineering, software analytics, software verification, and programming languages. Through my research, I aim to combine software engineering and verification techniques—including static and dynamic analysis—to develop methods and tools that improve the robustness of software systems and increase programmer productivity. Recently, my work has focused on software optimisation, including energy efficiency (Green AI) and runtime performance, as well as Artificial Intelligence for Software Engineering (AI4SE).
