Settings > Altomatic - Click “Get API Key” – enter your email and a 6-digit verification code will be sent to you. Enter the code and your API key is saved automatically. Or paste an existing key from altomatic.ai/profile.
- Customize your settings:

- Choose output formats (WebP/AVIF/original)
- Enable automatic alt text generation
- Configure responsive image settings

External Services
This plugin connects to the Altomatic API (https://api.altomatic.ai) to perform image optimization and alt text generation. Your images are uploaded only during processing and are never made public or shared.
This plugin also connects to the Altomatic web application (https://altomatic.ai/api) for account authentication when using the “Get API Key” feature. This sends your email address to request a verification code and retrieve your API key.

Installation
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to
Plugins > Add New - Search for “Altomatic”
- Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”
Or install manually:
1. Download the latest release from altomatic.ai/download
2. Upload the ZIP via WordPress or extract to /wp-content/plugins/
