Our Services

Mitchell Center for Natural Healing, in Seattle’s Maple Leaf neighborhood, offers Naturopathic Medicine, Chinese Herbal Dermatology and Acupuncture. The practitioners at Mitchell Center work as a team to provide clients with a holistic approach to their health.

We value and embrace a patient-centered approach. Our goal is to find and address the root causes of the problem and provide individualized treatments for our patients.

We strive to offer you excellence in healthcare. Our visits — which are typically longer than the brief medical visits that most patients are used to — are scheduled to allow us time to thoroughly address your health concerns. We work hard to make sure that each person is considered as an individual with unique needs, and to offer health solutions that are specially formulated for you.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is a system of medicine designed to provide a natural and holistic approach to health care. As a Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Leah Mitchell is not just interested in what is happening in the body, but WHY it is happening. Her goal is to identify and understand the root cause of the health concerns so that she can work to resolve them.  By identifying the root cause of the illness, natural medicine support can be tailored to the individual’s needs, and address them at their foundation.

Acupuncture

Glenn D. Soja offers acupuncture to assist patients with their health, and specializes in the treatment of pain, eye conditions, and stress management. Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body to help address acute and chronic health issues.

Traditional Chinese Medicine views health as a harmonious balance in energy flow, or Qi (“chee”), in the body. When an imbalance in Qi begins to arise, one’s health can become affected. Acupuncture is used to help move and balance the Qi, thus facilitating healing in the body. This system of medicine has been in use for thousands of years and has evolved over the course of time.
