I am watching GoF and wow, there are just some really cringe-worthy moments. Perhaps it's because I'm watching it after the close of canon and after OotP, but Emma is really getting on my nerves.

*collapses* What an awesome but tiring day!

Okay, so we start off with smilie117 picking me up at my house to meet local t00bs for Brokeback Mountain. She's a little late because I sorta messed up the directions and then when I try to get into her car, I nearly wipe out on the ice. So. In car. Pass dead animals at least three times. How very ominous. Find cinema, missing it *slightly* but actually that was good because we knew where we were due to her mad organizing skillz. Meet evil_erato. Pick up tickets from machine that is clearly flaunting its cleverness. Meet wordplay, aegeus, and reservoir. Introductions, food, film.

Wow. Awesome film. I have read the short story so I knew what to expect, but both Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal do an amazing job in the film. It really is a love story that just happens to involve two men.

Afterwards, we decide that we are all starving and must eat. And drink. But only a little! smilie117, evil_erato, and I say goodbye to the others and make a MAD DASH to the Metro, in which there is some very brisk walking (which some might consider to be running).

Arrive at museum with moments to spare. Spy other hp_dcmetro t00bs soleta, kaalee, anya_writer, and ecwoodburn. Pick up tickets, get a chair and "desk" from which to distribute said tickets. Husband and son arrive! Queue starts. Meet Dave O'Brien, father of Katie O'Brien, as well as her mom, brother and aunt and uncle. All of us get a bit teary.

Now, I've seen IMAX films before and I've seen HP films, but HP in IMAX was so cool! I felt like I could reach right out and whip Harry's towel off of him in the Prefect's bathroom scene. *coughs* Also, I realize my as yet unnamed love for Maggie Smith.

After the film, hubby, son and I leave the t00bs behind to jump in the car and drive home.

I take some Nyquil and try to make an LJ post...*see above*...so not sure if this is coherent or not.

I hope everyone made it home okay! Especially Sabs! ♥ to everyone for a great day.

Just bought my tickets for Goblet of Fire for Friday, the 18th at 7pm with smilie117 and anya_writer!!!!!

And yes, I'll also be going Saturday morning with my son and husband. And possibly a few more times.
