• Several characters die violently.
• Guns are often used, which means that POV characters are occasionally threatened at gunpoint.
• There is a depiction of a POV character having a psychotic break.
• A POV character is threatened with sexual assault (not explicitly, it’s an offhand comment by another character.)
• POV characters use cocaine and opiates, and addiction to alcohol is depicted.
• Several characters suffer from PTSD, and in some cases, the events that triggered that disorder are depicted, as well.
