Mikulas – The Creator of Minimalio

While I was studying at the Film Academy in Prague, I started making some extra money by creating WordPress websites. The word got around, and my fellow schoolmates started coming to me, asking me to make portfolio websites for them. All they wanted were simple portfolios, just their name, a menu and their work.

So I started looking for a WordPress theme that I could use to easily make those portfolios, especially since none of my friends had any money for it. And to my dismay, I just couldn’t find anything. Everything was bloated out of proportion, there was simply nothing I could use.

And that’s how the idea to create Minimalio came to life. At the beginning, it was supposed to be mainly for myself. So that I could create those portfolios in a couple of hours, even minutes, and wouldn’t have to charge my friends money they didn’t have. After some time, I thought about trying to offer Minimalio to the public. And even though it was so much work and money I spent, I couldn’t be happier with the results.

After a year, Minimalio is now powering over 1,000 websites, the reviews couldn’t be more positive and I find the websites made with Minimalio absolutely gorgeous. So, thank you all for making Minimalio into what it is right now, after such a short time.
