The Hype Train is a brand new system that allows players to boost their favorite games for an entire hour and earn extra rewards while playing.

When a Hype Train is active, everyone playing that game can find Hype Carts, earn extra Gems and EXP, unlock exclusive cosmetics, and work together to increase the Hype Level.

🚂 Start a Hype Train

Hype Train Whistles can be used to start a Hype Train for any game. Once activated, that game becomes Hyped at Level 1 for 1 hour.

You can activate your Whistle by speaking with Conductor Mark next to the Hype Train in the lobby. Select the game you want to Hype and the train will depart!

A server-wide announcement will let everyone know which game has been Hyped, making it easy for players to join the action.

Hype Train Whistles are included in the monthly rewards for our highest subscription ranks and Content Creators.

Introducing Brawl!

We are currently aiming to release the first Brawl July 31st, 2026!

Brawl is a rotating weekend event that remixes Mineplex’s legacy games with unusual rules, combinations, and challenges. The goal is to create something that remains fresh each time it appears and gives players new ways to experience familiar games.

Instead of introducing entirely new games, Brawl builds upon existing Mineplex games in three general ways:

Vault

Games and modes from Mineplex’s past return for a limited time.

Wacky

Existing games receive unusual rule changes. This could include faster-paced Survival Games, modified Speed Builders rounds, punch bows in Turf Wars, random kits in Super Smash Mobs, or other twists on the normal experience.

Mashup

Elements from two games are combined into a single experience. Some possibilities include Dragon Escape mixed with Death Tag, Turf Wars mixed with Super Smash Mobs, or One in the Quiver mixed with Evolution.

Brawl will rotate through these categories on a three-Brawl cycle before beginning again with different games and modifications.

The first Brawl will be kept relatively simple, with a focus on making sure the overall Brawl system works properly before we begin experimenting with more ambitious combinations.

Brawl Missions

Each Brawl will give players randomly selected missions based on the type of game being played, including combat, arena, solo, and team-based challenges.

These missions are intended to encourage fun or unusual ways of playing rather than demanding that players grind wins or achieve highly competitive results. Winning will not always be the objective; the challenge itself is what matters.

Players will receive one active mission at a time and will be able to view their current Brawl, mission, and progress through the Brawl menu. We also plan to track milestones such as:
  • Missions completed
  • Games completed
  • Weekend streaks

Brawl will also serve as a testing ground for some of these challenges. With such a large range of possible missions across Mineplex’s legacy games, some may require adjustments after reaching the live network. We will continue reviewing and improving the mission pool as Brawls run.

Brawls are planned to take place on selected weekends rather than following a guaranteed weekly schedule. How often they appear and how the system develops over time will depend on participation, development time, and community feedback.

Rules & Moderation Updates

We have heard the concerns surrounding how moderation has been handled since Mineplex’s return. In response, we have been reviewing our rules and moderation systems with a focus on making enforcement more consistent, proportionate, and community-friendly.

The rules players see will remain straightforward and familiar. Expectations such as no cheating, spamming, teaming, threats, harassment, or inappropriate conduct are not fundamentally changing, and players will not need to learn an entirely new rulebook.

Instead, these updates focus on how those rules are applied. Minor or isolated mistakes should be treated differently from serious behavior or repeated misconduct.

Overall, our goals are to:
  • Respond more proportionately to the behavior involved
  • Be more forgiving of minor or isolated mistakes
  • Address serious and repeated misconduct appropriately
  • Improve consistency between moderation decisions
  • Make expectations and punishment reasons clearer to players

These changes are intended to create a moderation system that protects the community without making players feel that every mistake will result in an excessively harsh punishment.

Player Standing System

As part of these changes, players will be able to view their own Player Standing.

Your standing provides a simple overview of your recent conduct on Mineplex:

Good Standing

Your account has no significant recent moderation concerns.

Okay Standing

Your account has received some recent moderation action.

Poor Standing

Your account has received repeated or more serious recent moderation action.

Player Standing allows the system to distinguish between someone who makes an isolated mistake and someone who repeatedly breaks the rules. Players with a recent pattern of misconduct may receive stronger consequences for future violations, while players who maintain good conduct will remain in or return to Good Standing.

Your standing is not permanent. It will improve automatically over time as long as you avoid receiving additional punishments, giving every player the opportunity to rebuild their standing through continued good behavior.

Players will be able to check their current standing themselves, making it easier to understand the overall status of their account.

Chat Filter Update

We are also updating the Mineplex chat filter to give players more control over the language they see.

Players will be able to choose between two filter options:

Filter On - Default

The default filter blocks profanity, including both mild and severe language.

Mature Mode - Optional

Mature Mode allows ordinary mild profanity to appear while continuing to block severe language such as slurs and hate speech.

Mature Mode only changes what language is visible to you. It does not make harassment, hate speech, inappropriate conduct, threats, or other rule-breaking behavior acceptable.

The goal is to give players more control over their own chat experience while continuing to protect the community from genuinely severe content.

Estimated release date of the rules and moderation update: August 1st, 2026.
*Please note that estimation means the date can change

MINEPLEX LAUNCH WEEKEND

Posted by James , 2026-06-14
Hey everyone! We are pleased to announce that the network is in a much better place, more stable and now with more capacity. We genuinely do appreciate your patience and for still showing up despite numerous restarts and issues. Thank you to everyone who has played over the course of the weekend. Over the past few days, we have been hard at work fixing any issues that came up and continue to do so, in the hopes of finally introducing the new content that we plan to do. Please continue to use /bugreport in-game to identify anything you find, and we will work through them as soon as possible. That being said, those who have been able to play the entire time, we hope you have enjoyed it so far, and we can't wait to show you what we have next. We would like to take this chance to announce some of the following changes made in the last 24 hours:
  • Significantly increased investment into more servers, to allow us to open more game lobbies and let more people on the network
  • As a direct result of the above increased capacity on the network, shorter queue waiting times
  • A huge range of fixes/improvements that I won't bore you with in this announcement, but we will start posting changelogs more often in network-updates to keep people more closely in the loop.
As former players, we absolutely want to provide the highest quality experience possible on our network. Full transparency, I would equally be a bit frustrated and completely understand any concerns. While it is no excuse, most servers would grow over time and equally scale over time - while we knew what we were taking on with acquiring Mineplex, we did not quite expect a peak of 11,000 people on day 1. Our goal was never to have people waiting in the queue for hours, and for that we apologise - but please be assured we did our best to get as many people in as possible .Now for some specifics people are interested in: Block Hunt, Speed Builders, and Minestrike are currently planned to release over the next week, on modern versions. We identified some issues that would have made the games unplayable if they were to be released on launch day. However, these are going to be the absolute priority over the next week, as we know a lot of you are eager to play these. As for our compensation, available to every single player, we have released an Early Supporter Bundle available for everyone to claim for free for the next 6 days at Carl the Creeper, featuring exclusive cosmetics that won't be acquirable again (you will keep them after these 6 days). We felt chests weren't enough, so we wanted to make it something more exclusive, as a token of gratitude for your patience over the weekend. I apologise for the long announcement, and appreciate every single one of you for all your support; it has not gone unnoticed. All we ask for is your continued patience while we work on getting the network to a better place, and to please be respectful to our staff members since we all want the same thing - for Mineplex to be an enjoyable place to play. We hope people weren't too put off by the weekend's events, and hope to see you back online and give it another try.
