Part 2: Our Plugins (Milo Subscriptions, Milo Payments, Add-ons)
2.1 Your Data Stays on Your Server
Our plugins run entirely within your WordPress installation. All subscription data, customer data, and order data is stored in your WordPress database on your hosting server. We do not have access to this data.
You are the data controller for all personal data processed by our plugins on your site. It is your responsibility to comply with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and to inform your customers about how their data is processed.
2.2 Data We Receive from Plugins
Our plugins may communicate with our servers in the following limited ways:
License Validation
- When a paid add-on checks its license status, it sends: the license key, site URL, and plugin version
- This is necessary to verify your license and deliver updates
- No customer or order data from your store is transmitted
Update Checks
- Plugins periodically check our server for available updates
- Only the plugin slug and current version are transmitted
Optional Usage Tracking
- If you explicitly opt in, the plugin may send anonymous, aggregated usage data (WordPress version, WooCommerce version, PHP version, active features)
- This data contains no personal information and is used solely to prioritize development
- You can opt out at any time from the plugin settings
2.3 Payment Gateway Connections
If you use Milo Payments, the plugin connects directly to payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Square) using API keys stored on your server. Payment data flows between your site and the payment provider. Milo does not process, see, or store any payment data from your customers.
2.4 Stripe Connect Proxy
For Stripe Connect onboarding, the plugin communicates with connect.milosubscriptions.com to facilitate the OAuth connection between your site and your Stripe account. The only data transmitted is your site URL and the OAuth tokens necessary to establish the connection. No customer payment data passes through our proxy.
