Measurements of the curvatures and warpages of a printed circuit board (PCB) during a thermal sol... more Measurements of the curvatures and warpages of a printed circuit board (PCB) during a thermal solder reflow process using strain gauges are proposed in this study. In the experiments, a shadow moiré is used for measuring the out-of-plane deformations (or warpage) of a bi-material plate and a PCB with dual in-line memory module (DIMM) sockets during solder reflow heating, while the finite element method (FEM) is used to analyze the thermally-induced deformation of the PCB specimen for ensuring the validity of the measurement. Conventional strain gauges are employed to measure the strains (albeit as in-plane strain data) in both specimens during the solder reflow process. The results indicate that the strain gauge-measured strain data from the top and bottom surfaces of both specimens during the solder reflow can be converted into curvature data with specific equations, and even into global out-of-plane deformations or warpages with a proposed simple beam model. Such results are also consistent with those from the shadow moiré and FEM. Therefore, it has been proved that the strain gauge measurement associated with the simple beam model can provide a method for the real-time monitoring of PCB deformations or warpages with different temperatures during the solder reflow process.

In coal deposits in the Arctic zone of Russia (Pechora, Lensky, Tungusky, Taimyrsky, Zyryansky coal basins, coal deposits of Chukotka, Kamchatka, Franz Josef Land) anomalous concentrations of trace elements (Sc, Ti, V, Ga, Ge, Sr, Y, Zr, Nb. Mo, Pd, REE, etc.) have been established. The metal contents in the coals of the Lensky and Zyryansky basins, the deposits of Kamchatka, and the Franz Josef Land are given. The results of electron microscopic studies of mineral inclusions (with local microanalysis for their diagnosis) of coals of the Russian Arctic are presented. The results of calculating the prognostic resources of TiO2, V2O5, Th, Y2O3, REE 2O3, Sc, Mo, Ga, and other metals in the studied deposits are given. Die Studie wurde auf der Grundlage von sechs Monographien auf akademischem Niveau durchgeführt, die in den 2000-2016er Jahren veröffentlicht oder ins Russische übersetzt wurden, jeweils drei zur russischen und ausländischen Geschichtsschreibung dieser Zeit. Der Autor hat sich auch erlaubt, den Stand der Zugänglichkeit von Primärquellen zu beurteilen, ohne die eine weitere wissenschaftliche Forschung aus naheliegenden Gründen unmöglich erscheint.

The article analyzes the main trends of the contemporary historiography of the Soviet period of 1... more The article analyzes the main trends of the contemporary historiography of the Soviet period of 1953-1964s, which is traditionally called as «Khrushchev's epoch». The study is performed on the basis of the six academic monographs, published or translated into Russian in 2000-2016s, respectively three books belong to the Russian historiography and the same quantity to the foreign research works about that period. The author also has taken the liberty to give an assessment of the availability of primary sources, without which it is obviously impossible to continue the research.
В статье проанализированы основные тенденции современной историогра- фии периода советской истори... more В статье проанализированы основные тенденции современной историогра- фии периода советской истории 1953–1964 гг., традиционно именуемого «хрущёвским». Исследование выполнено на основе шести монографий академического уровня, опубли- кованных или переведённых на русский язык в период 2000–2010-х гг., соответственно по три, относящихся к российской и зарубежной историографии данного периода. Автор также взял на себя смелость дать оценку состоянию доступности первоисточников, без которых продолжать дальнейшие научные исследования по очевидным причинам пред- ставлялось бы невозможным.
