Therefore, it is necessary to have an appropriate measurement for evaluating student's competency so that personalized support can be provided. This study proposes the attribute to determine an individual's competency by modifying the Objective Distance, which is the distance from the current status of a student's competency towards a satisfied competency. In this study, the Objective Distance is modified based on the assumption that the entire course's achievement is obtained from different learning objects' priorities. This study investigated child development knowledge extraction that is appropriate for a new parent. The child development detection system has been designed by adopting the knowledge engineering method with user experience and high-fidelity prototyping design. This study shows the positive satisfaction result of a new parent taking part in these experiments to confirm on how to develop a good child development detection system in further step.

Th... more In past two decades there has been a significant increase in the number of accidents in India. This is because of the increase in number of vehicles on road and improper functioning of traffic guidelines. Now, because the increase in the traffic congestion. Accidents on the road results in massive traffic congestions and unbalanced traffic flow on the roads thus leading to more problems. To solve this issue, we have presented an idea in form of solution in this paper. The solution uses technological development of Device to Device (D2D) communication. It solves two major problems which are low bandwidth and unbalanced traffic flow. Therefore, this paper presents an algorithm, which uses LTE and Lora WAN for solving the problem. The algorithm uses intelligent switching between communication technologies for sending packets to increase the speed of communication with having low bandwidth in hand.

Development of internet technology and mobile technology have been the highly popular in terms of... more Development of internet technology and mobile technology have been the highly popular in terms of finding, searching and sharing information as a tool for promoting tourism and dissemination of culture. This paper examined the result of mobile technology development for supporting local e-tourism, disseminating Lanna art and culture, and provides details of artifact that are from the past and into the current. This content includes the features of mobile application. Also, a display of two languages for foreign visitors of Mae Fah Luang Art & Cultural Park is presented. The positive user satisfaction results confirmed that this application is not only the new technology for providing the beneficial contents of artifact but it is appropriate and matches with the users' behavior lifestyle. This study can support the ways of promoting technology to the culture and local content of the users.

The cornerstone of beef cattle farming is profitable farming, which means production with a minimum number of units and the highest selling price in raising beef cattle. To achieve this, farmers need to learn and study many factors that will affect animal production. This study investigated. requirements analysis for implementation of farm management system by promote beef cattle feeding support system of smart farming based with ICT integrated. The pilot study revealed that the require of farm management and farm support system specification with stakeholder and user analysis results and also the design of beef cattle smart farming for Thai farmer’s context.

This unique and stylized traditional dance portrays its history, culture, emotional expression, body movement etc. To archive the knowledge of the Traditional Thai dance, a dance notation known as “Labanotation” has been widely used to record and archive the unique essence of dance knowledge. In addition, many researchers have worked on reproducing and showcasing the dance movements. Currently, there is no such system that is available for us to demonstrate our Thai Dance Notation Score in 3D animation. Specifically, displaying the hand and finger movement is an issue. The aim of this paper is to present the process of implementing a tool to translate the dance notation into a 3D animation focusing on hand and finger movements of the traditional Thai dance.

However, the ongoing handicraft production case is still in development due to the lacking of functionalities and designed features. This paper investigated the design features for artisan traditional craft with technological domain especially with the Internet of Things (IOT) technology. The positive results from this study can be further implemented by product developers to improve their functionalities and designed feature platforms with more significant value-added product for the local artisan.

Learning can be more effective when it is contextualized and situated; base on this assumption we develop a database system to collect information of artifacts (trees) in a museum (an open area agriculture museum) and present to users or learners through mobile application. Information on the mobile application can be fetched by scanning QR code. Users can walk within the area and scan a QR code on a tree to get a specific information; therefore, user can get details of the particular tree including name, species and its application. User satisfaction survey was collected and they are satisfied with the functions and information of the application.

Chiang Rai is a part of Thailand tourist destination. According to the statistic gotten of tourism, the income gotten from Chiang Rai was about 20,000 million in 2015 alone given it a window to be awarded the "Thailand Tourism Awards" 2013 and 2015 successively. The tourism industry is gaining rapid recognition steadily and Thai government is all supporting their population through the ability to take more opportunities as well as making more income in other to provide a better life for her citizens. With all that been stated the main purpose of this project is to study as well as to investigate the mobile application from the point of interest process and developing online tourism system that will aid the tourist. This development result will support the ability of tourists finding their precise intended tourist attraction; this will make sightseeing more effortless, easy and interesting through the online learning system improvement as well as route recommendation for the user.

This study investigates a prototyping of integrated system of Internet of Things based Wetting fr... more This study investigates a prototyping of integrated system of Internet of Things based Wetting front detector (IOT-WFD) which focuses on how to enhance the IOT based Wetting front detector design for smart irrigation system. The empirical study was conducted with 2 sensors type to detect the wetting fronts which are the Frequency Domain Reflectrometry sensor (FDR) and Resistor-based sensor (RB) integrated and design with low-cost WFD. The results of this study point toward the IOT-WFD as an appropriated technology providing real time wetting front information in soil positively for application in terms of agricultural water management, with precision agriculture and efficient irrigation domain with a related decision knowledge that matches with the technology trend and smart farmer requirements. Evidence of positive results of this prototyping summary has been provided.

This study focused on the impact of Arabica coffee on the concentration of Beta waves of individu... more This study focused on the impact of Arabica coffee on the concentration of Beta waves of individuals. This was done by measuring and how the Arabica coffee affects Human EEG Frequency. Local Arabica coffee from Chiang Rai, Thailand was adopted in this study as a medium to wake up the human brain wave (attention). The experimental result showed that coffee can make human brain wave (attention) increase. The study conducted on fifty participants: twenty-five males and twenty-five females aged between twenty to thirty years old. The Electroencephalography (EEG) is collected twice and compared. The effect of caffeine on human brain waves was measured using NeuroSky Mindwave mobile. The paired sample t-test was employed for comparing two groups Beta brain waves collected in the experiment. The K-means algorithm was used to perform data mining on brain waves, and the differential brain wave signal data is clustered and divided into three levels. The experimental results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two paired samples. Therefore, the results confirm that coffee has a direct impact on personal Beta waves.

This article aims to design a context model and innovative English vocabulary learning with an ap... more This article aims to design a context model and innovative English vocabulary learning with an appropriate learning environment for Thai primary school students, Grade 2, by using the CAVIS system. This was divided into three experiments as followed: the first experiment implemented a comparison between traditional teaching and English vocabulary learning by using the CAVIS system. The second experiment was conducted with the students by using 150 words for vocabulary learning. The third experiment was executed with the students by using both the vocabulary of the first experiment and the second experiment which was the use of all 250 vocabulary words. The results of this experiment indicated that the CAVIS system provided the learners with a positive learning development and supported vocabulary learning in an appropriate environment.

The purpose of this project is to study and understand adult learning process, and developing online learning system to support English vocabulary and conversation learning relevant to users daily life from authentic situation for local entrepreneurs who have no experience in English, which is denominate as Active English Learning System for Local Entrepreneurs. To evaluate the effectiveness of the system for vocabulary acquisition with pretest scores, posttest scores, and recall test scores improving after learning, in parallel with estimate satisfactions of users in simulated conversation situations. Learning under learner's interest and relevant experiences will motivate and increase intention of learners.

This research is on the development of a media that is holistically incorporated with a thesaurus... more This research is on the development of a media that is holistically incorporated with a thesaurus, animation, communication, otherwise known as TCAD (Total Communication with Animation Dictionary). The purpose is so that students with a hearing impairment, at the primary level of one to six, will be able to use the animation-based dictionary to not only communicate in a holistic way but to be taught and learn the English language through an innovative form. Factors such as video, animated Thai Sign Language and visual lip movement are utilized to support the learning for these students. The words and meaning of the Thai and English language are sorted by category. A case study on the teaching versus traditional instruction was applied with a dictionary as a supplement. Results have been finalized from the tests that were given in the form of lessons to the students. The results show that these students can remember the words better after school and that they can memorize words in the long term (long - term memory retention). Learning with the TCAD provided an edge over the traditional teaching/learning methods, thus not only promoting English language learning in the classroom but also as a device for students with a hearing impairment to learn at their own leisure time.

This chapter describes a software system, Total Communication Animated Dictionary (TCAD), develop... more This chapter describes a software system, Total Communication Animated Dictionary (TCAD), developed to support the acquisition and retention of English vocabulary of pupils with hearing impairment in their bilingual education program. TCAD employs a variety of visual aids and animated features (e.g. lip reading, finger spelling, sign and animation) to optimise their vocabulary acquisition. To enhance their retention TCAD includes stories and games which are based on the learnt vocabulary and set within the local context and culture of primary school pupils. TCAD is tested with a set of primary pupils with hearing-impaired from a school based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The initial investigation showed promising results in the acquisition and retention of English vocabulary. Teachers have noted an improved motivation and enthusiasm among their pupils in learning English as TCAD has provided a forum for social interaction and communication among the pupils.

This paper investigates on how to promote the local tourism sector that matches with the changing customer behavior of tourists in ICTs generations. The study shows the ICTs system that is designed for sharing and accessing the points of interest or tourist destination for local tourism and business sector, known as the "Opened Pins Recommendation System". The results show that there are positive user's satisfactions of the system design and a prototyping on the tourist users and local tourism sector.
