Hello! Welcome to Metallic Fansubs. It’s just me, myself and I here. I am not a group of people. Here’s my story:
I live on the West Coast of the USA. I’m originally from the Northeastern USA.
I took 4 years of Japanese in college, and use it in my daily life for my job. That really helps me to keep my grasp of the language.
I’ve always liked anime, ever since I saw Sailor Moon on American TV back in 1995. Anime is still fun to watch, but I find a lot of the newer, computer drawn anime lacks the same kind of soul as the older shows.
I got interested in tokusatsu when I bought T-shirts of Goranger and Kamen Rider from a now defunct website that sold nerdy apparel. A lot of web searching led me to videos online and VHS distributors of tokusatsu.
I had always like Power Rangers as a kid, but the stories and action in Super Sentai and tokusatsu are so much more interesting to me. Plus there are so many more shows to watch.
At first I collected VHS copies of older Super Sentai shows, but now I have every episode of Super Sentai (up through Gokaiger) and Metal Heroes, as well as many Kamen Rider and other henshin hero shows on a portable hard drive. Some are raw Japanese, some are subbed in English.
I plan on mostly subbing shows that have not been done by any other subbers yet. Mainly Metal Heroes, but maybe some older Super Sentai might get in there as well.
If you have any questions about my subs, about tokusatsu in general, or just want to say hi, feel free to use the contact page and send me a message. Enjoy!
