Wikidata For Wikimedia Projects

Background
[edit]
Wikidata for Wikimedia projects team is a Wikimedia Deutschland team created to support existing relationships and forge new ones between Wikidata and its sibling Wikimedia projects.
We work closely with editors, volunteer developers, and other Wikimedia product teams to optimise workflows, decrease redundancy and promote better integration of Wikidata's data in other projects.
We will specifically investigate and work on how Wikidata's data and functionality are reused across the Wikimedia sibling projects.
Some potential areas we could work in are:
- Finding ways to reduce technical complexity in workflows where Wikidata is being reused.
- Build new features that make new ways of using Wikidata in the other projects possible.
- Possible adoption and/or maintenance of user-scripts, gadgets, and community-created tools

Current Development Tasks
[edit]
- We are currently working on creating clearer edit summaries when the edit stems from Wikidata and is displayed on Watchlists and special pages such as Recent or Related Changes.

Your feedback is important! We want to ensure our output does not disrupt your editing experience, interrupt your workflows, and is an intuitive and welcome change. To make sure of that, we want your feedback. Please leave comments or ask questions on the relevant Discussion pages: Talk: clearer edit summaries from Wikidata.
