Google Messages, previously known as Android Messages or Messenger, is an RCS-based text messaging app developed by Google and was released as a standalone app for Android 5.0 Lollipop in 2014. In 2018, Google introduced Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Messages, similar to iMessage on Apple devices.

It also allows you to select the option of downloading MMS images automatically or converting the reactions of iPhone users into normal emojis. So, you can use the app on the tablet or smartwatch if they have Ga oogle account.

Security & Privacy

Earlier, Google Messages didn’t have end-to-end encryption, but later on, it was embedded with end-to-end encryption for the safety of your private conversation. It also offers an advanced spam protection feature to filter the spam messages and other unnecessary content. 

Gemini Integration

By default, the Google AI tool is disabled for Google Messages, but it is possible to enable it by default because it is integrated with Gemini. Gemini is one of the powerful AI tools to enable users to get their text within seconds. So, you can take help from Gemini to read and respond your messages quickly. If you aren’t interested in Gemini, simply disable it while navigating to Messages Settings, click “Gemini in Messages”, and uncheck the “Show Gemini Button” tab.

Edit your Photos

The app supports Remix, which uses Nano Banana for editing and reimaging your photos; regardless of the changes you want, it would be a superhero pet, or an 80s yearbook photo. Simply edit and share with friends, even on iPhone as well. It is possible with Android devices to remix the same images back and forth without leaving the app.
