Technology

What an appropriate theme for an appropriate time. Technology…we can’t live with it and we can’t live without it. I seem to be one, right when I think I have it all figured out, something goes haywire.

There are so many different types of technology. Medical, IT, and more. I tend to think backwards. Where did technology start? It wasn’t with us in this time. It was with early man. There were bronze workers, iron workers, writers with their own alphabet. Now, we wouldn’t consider them “advanced” by any means. But they were using technology of their day. I think it’s cool to learn about the older ways of doing things.

However, I did not use an old version of technology for this month’s block. In fact, I had to USE technology to find an idea for my block. Yep, ChatGPT! I asked it for so ideas for a quilt block using technology, and it was awesome.

My pick was Network Bars. That’s right, can you hear me now? Those 5 little bars in the top right corner of your phone that lets you know if you have cell service. Any more, we have service most anywhere we go. But there are a few places where we do rely on these bars.

Get your quilt pattern for your very own Network Blocks. My background happens to have yellow right under my bars, so that’s why it’s yellow. Can’t wait to see what you make.

Don’t forget to grab the patterns from the other designers as well.
