United moves on to literally killing puppies

United Airlines has repeatedly attained viral fame for its mistreatment of its passengers and their belongings, and has even dabbled in pet murder, but now the airline has crossed another item off its worst-airline bucket-list, murdering a passenger’s puppy by insisting that a dog-carrier be stored in an overhead locker during a 3.5 hour flight, despite having received a $125 cabin pet fee and despite the carrier fitting comfortably under the seat.

UPDATED French toll road operator wants fire-engines to pay to reach blazes

Update: The news-source has retracted this report after Vinci corrected them: the company is switching to an electronic payment system but affirms that it will continue to comp the fire department.

Vinci operates a network of private highways in France; according to the chairman of the Department of Fire and Rescue of the Var (SDIS 83), the company has rescinded the toll-free status of fire-engines en route to emergencies and will henceforth have to pay when they are risking their lives to prevent fires.

Norwegian Islamophobes mistake bus-seat-covers for burkhas, go bonkers

Members of the Norwegian Facebook group “Fedrelandet viktigst” (“Fatherland first”) mistook a photo of an empty bus whose seats had been draped with black covers for a bus full of women in burkhas and went Brevik-bananas, decrying the rampant Islamification of Norway and generally being easily frightened, fragile Aryans.
