Hi Dan, great question — this is a common problem. If it only happens after you’ve been playing for a few minutes, it’s likely condensation build-up from the breath. Good morning,
I occasionally play melodions (Suzuki Hammond PRO-44Hv2 and Suzuki M-37C models) in a band and for the last 6 months or more I’ve had problems with some notes not sounding immediately (or even at all) during a performance. Hi Lowboy
You’ve taken apart melodicas, what do old Hohners have that makes the sound project through the bottom? That seems to be the sound I’m looking for. My Cassotto and old Piano 32 have that nice muted sound. My Yamahas (37, 32, & 25) and Suzuki M-32 are slightly mellower than the Pro 37 but not as mellow as the old Hohners.
