The study was conducted to determine insect fauna of Kovada Lake National Park Basin in Isparta p... more The study was conducted to determine insect fauna of Kovada Lake National Park Basin in Isparta province of Turkey between April 2007 and October 2008. In the study, various collecting methods, including pitfall trap, sweeping, air-sweepnet, drop sheet and light trap were used in nine different habitats selected from the region. The insect specimens were collected by weekly samplings. A total of 240 insect species and subspecies belonging to 75 families and 11 orders were recorded from the national park basin.

Beetles were found feeding on the leaves of Celtis glabrata Steven ex Planchon (Ulmaceae), leaving behind small, round holes. Redescriptions of the male and female are presented. The spermatheca is illustrated for the first time.

This study is based on Alticinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) material collected by Malaise trappi... more This study is based on Alticinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) material collected by Malaise trapping which is different from other standardized collecting methods. A total of 19 flea beetle species belonging to 6 genera were collected from Gölcük Natural Park, Isparta (Turkey) during 2009. The species are listed in a table together with distributional data in Turkey. Among them, Longitarsus curtus (Allard, 1860) is recorded for the first time in Turkey. L. monticola Kutschera, 1863 and L. curtus are recently separated synonyms and thus all data referring to the distribution of both species are currently important. Hence, the zoogeographical distribution of the new record is reviewed with some remarks; habitus and genitalia are illustrated.

Özet: Çalışma, Kasnak Meşesi Tabiatı Koruma Alanı içerisinden seçilen meşe, otsu bitkiler ve dere... more Özet: Çalışma, Kasnak Meşesi Tabiatı Koruma Alanı içerisinden seçilen meşe, otsu bitkiler ve dere yatağı habitatlarında 2005 ve 2006 yıllarında Nisan-Ekim aylarında 15 günlük periyotlar ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda yukarıda bildirilen habitatlardan çukur tuzak yöntemiyle Carabidae familyasına ait 9, Tenebrionidae familyasına ait 3 tür olmak üzere toplam 12 tür kaydedilmiştir. Shannon ve Simpson çeşitlilik indekslerine göre çalışılan habitatlar içinde otsu bitkiler habitatı en zengin habitat olarak belirlenmiştir. Her iki çalışma yılında da bütün habitatlardan örneklenen Dailognatha quadricollis (Brullé) ve Pimelia subglobosa (Pallas) sırasıyla %45 ve %24'lük dominansi değerleri ile en bol türler olarak saptanmışlardır.
